You'll be more than just a watchful presence - you'll be an essential responder, a calm force in emergencies, and a trusted member of our Building & Grounds Department. What You'll Do In This Role * Conduct detailed patrols of all buildings and grounds * Verify Identification of team members and guests * Secure and open facility areas, and monitor for unauthorized access * Respond to emergencies - from CPR/AED incidents to facility issues * Assist with minor maintenance (e.g., light bulbs, toilets, TVs) * Support the front desk, valet parking, and emergency protocols * Record mechanical and safety data from boilers, chillers, and gauges * Act as first-line response for fire alarms, natural disasters, and safety threats Core Competencies * Strong situational awareness * Able to stay calm under pressure Physical Requirements * Able to walk 5-7 miles per shift * Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs (up to 14 stories) The Experience You'll Bring Required: * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid driver's license and ability to valet park vehicles (must be 21+) * CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain * Excellent communication skills, both in-person and via radio * Flu vaccinated Preferred: * Previous security experience and experience working with older adults preferred * COVID-19 Vaccinated. Fellowship has provided housing, meals, healthcare and other benefits to more than 600 Richmond-area seniors since 1975 and is the founding mission of Westminster Canterbury Foundation. Funding for the program is provided largely through gifts to Westminster Canterbury Foundation, and referrals to the program are often sought from partners such as faith communities and civic organizations. We are seeking a community-minded professional who will deepen connections with existing partners and establish new partnerships to increase applications to the program, work with internal and external stakeholders to identify barriers to program entry and conduct research with peer communities into trends in similar programs. Position will work closely with a mission-focused, goal-oriented team dedicated to providing the best life possible for our residents and cultivating leadership in senior services. This is a part time ~16 hour per week position based in our offices on our beautiful Northside Richmond campus. Periodic travel to community partners may be required.
