POSITION OVERVIEW
Understanding of standard techniques used in providing personal services for residents and in caring for equipment and supplies as well as the basis of universal precautions to avoid infection of residents and self or contamination of equipment and supplies.
Awareness of the assessment process and the development and execution of negotiated care plans.
Manage the staffing needs of the Assisted Living Community by interviewing, hiring, training, supervising, and scheduling of care managers and MCM coverage.
Assist the Business Office Manager in the completion of new hire paper work, tracking attendance logs, monitoring time sheets, performing employee evaluations per company policy, and staying within the required budget for staffing.
Identify staff educational needs including scheduling and coordinating new hire orientation training, weekly mini-modules, and coordinating all mandatory and required in-service meetings for house staff.
Ensure that care staff is educated about the needs for our residents and that they are knowledgeable of the resident's negotiated service plan and task/assignment sheets.
Report symptoms and changes in condition of residents to the Wellness Director.
Maintain accurate records reflecting the resident's conditions, document in the Daily Log, and report all changes to the Wellness Director.
Ensure the resident care is being provided by weekly monitoring of all resident's suites and daily walk-through of the assisted living areas.
Ensure all infection control guidelines are met and monitor that gloves and protective supplies are available for staff use for resident care.
Possess the ability to problem solve effectively and manage various situations according to the MorningStar standards and guidelines.
Prepare and administer medications according to procedure.
Work with the Wellness Director to develop, maintain, and update resident negotiated service plans and assessments.
Schedule and conduct change of condition assessments as well as bi-annual negotiated service plan meetings with residents, families, Executive Director, and Wellness Director.
Maintain ongoing communication with the resident and family members regarding the resident's care needs and assist with counseling of residents and families as needed.
Responsible for regular resident suite checks and that resident emergency alert systems are answered promptly.
Report incidents of suspected resident abuse immediately and complete incident reports within 24 hours.
Complete Incident Tracker monthly; work with the Wellness Director on the addendum for interventions and reductions in incidents and review at the QA/safety committee meeting monthly.
Assure resident's weights and vital signs are take correctly and recorded at time of move-in, return from hospital or rehab, and monthly.
Direct care givers to participate in taking residents to prescribed activities and for those residents who may be physically unable to attend, that they spend additional one-on-one time with them.

Community Fee Profit-Sharing
Profit-sharing is 10% of the Community Fee collected. No payment is given when Community Fee is not collected. This amount is bonused once paid by a customer with a signed residency agreement and no expectation of a refund. This fee is split equally among the DCR(s) and CRA(s).
High Occupancy community bonus - 95% and up:
High Occupancy Bonus The bonus payout for achieving and maintaining Spot occupancy at or above 95% is $2,500 per month to the DCR. If the community has 2 DCRs, the bonus will be paid to each DCR. DCR will be paid the high occupancy bonus AND paid for any move-ins achieved in the month, per move in bonus detailed above. The occupancy levels must be maintained for at least 30 days to be eligible. If the occupancy falls below 95%, the DCR will only receive the bonus for the move-ins, not the high occupancy bonus. If a community falls below the designated occupancy, you will need to maintain a high occupancy for a period of 30 days to receive the bonus. If the community is budgeted at 95% or higher, the high occupancy bonus threshold is 98%.
High Occupancy Bonus Quarterly Revenue Kicker: If the community exceeds total budgeted revenue for the quarter, DCR(s) will receive an additional $2,500 bonus for the quarter. Community must hit budgeted NOI for the quarter to receive this revenue kicker. If a community misses this in a quarter but makes up the revenue by year end and meets the NOI budget criteria, the missed quarterly bonus will be paid out. If missed in multiple quarters, DCR(s) can make up by year-end and earn the total yearly potential of $10,000.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Develop long-range and short-range marketing plans, establish goals and objectives to increase occupancy

Serves as a liaison between the dining room and residents (includes, but not limited to accepting guest meal reservations and communicating these reservations to the dining room manager; making reminder calls to residents who are not in the dining room at their scheduled meal time; maintaining R.S.V.P. lists for community events, family events and holiday meals).
May supervise the front desk reception staff and drivers; maintains a working knowledge of the Security/Door Attendant and Receptionist positions and provides coverage as needed.
May drive company vehicle from community to social and other various destinations (only if required by community).
