What We're Looking For - Qualifications and Skills:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

11. Reports unsafe conditions existing in street or other public facilities.
12. Assists with criminal investigations, conducts stakeouts, assists with presenting evidence, interviewing victims and witnesses, and performs property and evidence duties.
13. Prepares detailed reports on activities and assignments.
14. Inspects vehicles and notifies garage of defective patrol units.
15. Participates in a variety of in-service training programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Works closely with the Director of Facilities in creating a working environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and Team Member satisfaction.
Assists in the recruitment, hiring, training and retention of department staff.
Coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost-effective assignment decisions, and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
Ensures efficient follow up on all work orders submitted by property management and keeps the Director of Facilities informed of anticipated delays in completing the requested work.
Assists in the preparation of annual preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all property systems and equipment are serviced and maintained properly.
Establishes positive working relationships with all vendors, fire, and safety officials.
Performs maintenance tasks to support the entire facility.
Stock, track and maintain supplies and equipment.
Prepare and submit work schedules in a timely matter and in compliance with scheduling standards.
Plan, prioritize and assign and work by shift accounting for property volumes due to special events, promotions, and holidays.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment.
Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
Assists the Director of Facilities in project planning, development, and execution staying within prescribed guidelines and budgetary constraints.
Responsible to update and maintain all departmental operations manuals.
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Reports any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous maintenance or engineer experience, required.
Knowledge of the following is preferred, but not required: HVAC (Boiler and Chiller Operation), Refrigeration (Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Maintenance), Kitchen Appliance Repair, Plumbing Repair, Building Sprinkler System and Electrical.
High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, this includes day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
Must be able to obtain required work cards, and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must pass any and all required background checks.
