The Opportunity: The Regional Manufacturing Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintenance, optimization, reliability, and operational performance programs for assigned recycle plants including improving equipment safety. This role also supports division wide initiatives related to capital development and deployment and Performance Excellence programs. Major Job Responsibilities: * Helps in the development and implementation of recycle plant operating processes and procedures through collaborating with stakeholders across the division to ensure proper preventative maintenance programs, operational standards, and that project management protocol is followed. * Assigns responsibilities, timelines for preventative maintenance and project milestones. Ensures timely and effective resolution through metrics and clear project plans. * Establishes culture of safety, ownership, quality, and operational performance. Work closely with plants to help support a common preventive maintenance program for each site in assigned region. * Develops capabilities within the local plant team to ensure coordination with all stakeholders and execution of plans. * Supports the effective utilization of teams and the use of problem-solving tools to drive improvement and actively participate in six sigma, DMAIC and Kaizen projects. * Identifies and drives operational excellence and improves priorities to eliminate waste and improve results. * As a key decision maker around equipment optimization, understands and communicates priorities while building consensus and buy in. * Leads and provides input and support on Capital and Major Projects including but not limited to project development, justification, equipment sourcing selection and project management as needed. * Applies lean manufacturing principles when identifying and sharing SOP\u2019s and best practices. * Works closely with peers and manager to ensure appropriate coverage and resources across all Recycle plant operations. * Creates an atmosphere that encourages engagement and drives results. * Champions projects and tasks in accordance with WestRock\u2019s policies and procedures to motivate and foster teamwork. * Coaches others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve equipment performance. * Identifies opportunities to involve others in new and challenging work assignments that advance the skills and capabilities of individuals, teams, and the organization. The opportunity: Our Dallas Cards facility is seeking a Production Manager to provide oversight and leadership in the assigned departments. PCA is currently recruiting for a Plant Optimization Engineer based at the Plano, TX corrugated box plant facility. Description of role: The Plant Optimization Engineer Position (POE) is a developmental program which focuses on hiring recent college graduates with degrees in engineering (0-2 years experience) into a rotational training experience with the goal of developing them into well-rounded employees and future leaders at PCA. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. What is PCA's POE Program? The POE Program is a 2-year rotational training program designed to give recent engineering graduates in depth, hands-on technical training in the Maintenance and Production departments of a corrugated box plant, and a well-rounded understanding of the corrugated packaging industry as a whole. In addition, POEs will complete engineering process optimization projects throughout the box plant, typically in areas of scrap reduction, throughput improvements, downtime reduction, etc., and will provide engineering support to all plant functions as needed. Upon successful completion of the program, the Plant Optimization Engineer will transition into a new full-time role in the chosen career path either at their current plant, or another plant or paper mill that has an opening that aligns with their skills and interests. Cardinal Health PET Manufacturing Services is responsible for manufacturing PET isotopes to enhance patient treatment through improved disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring. Leveraging our fully integrated network of domestic nuclear pharmacies, Cardinal Health PET Manufacturing Services compounds, dispenses and distributes patient-specific, unit-dose PET products in pharmacy markets today. What Cyclotron Engineer contributes to Cardinal Health Our Senior Product Engineer (Cyclotron Engineer) provides support to our PET production sites that manufacture product from about midnight through 9 am in the morning. Engineers provide maintenance to the manufacturing systems (cyclotron and chemical synthesis units) outside of these hours and are also on call during if there are issues during production. The systems we work with are radioactive so for safety reasons much planned maintenance is performed late afternoons, evening, and weekends. The primary work environment consists of a cyclotron and associated manufacturing facility for the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals, which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition. Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards.
