The Opportunity The Maintenance Manager schedules materials and machine downtime to maintain production equipment availability and performance, at satisfactory levels through the planning, coordination and reporting of repair activities. This position is located within Merchandising Displays - Lithia Springs, GA. PCA is currently recruiting for a Plant Optimization Engineer based at the Jacksonville, FL corrugated box plant converting facility. Description of role: The Plant Optimization Engineer Position (POE) is a developmental program which focuses on hiring recent college graduates with degrees in engineering (0-2 years experience) into a rotational training experience with the goal of developing them into well-rounded employees and future leaders at PCA. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. What is PCA's POE Program? The POE Program is a 2-year rotational training program designed to give recent engineering graduates in depth, hands-on technical training in the Maintenance and Production departments of a corrugated box plant, and a well-rounded understanding of the corrugated packaging industry as a whole. Your Job Our Georgia-Pacific facility in Palatka, FL is in need of Production Converting Utility workers. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career with a growing business! Team members will start their career in our Tissue Converting department. These roles work a rotating 12-hour shift, and the hours includes days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. What You Will Do In Your Role The primary function of this department is turning giant rolls of paper that come from our three tissue paper machines, into the rolls and packs of paper that you see on store shelves. This department requires individuals to work around large rotating equipment and on platforms that are at least 15 feet off the floor.
