As the Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for organizing and managing the day-to-day logistical activities for shipping and receiving of the Plant facility. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: * Coordinate daily dispatch to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment methods * Identify opportunities to maximize manufactured square footage (MSF) per trailer to increase utilization of assets and increase cost savings * Coordinate material staging, shipments, pick and pack order fulfillment, expired inventory destruction, and raw and customer owned inventory * Maintain working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations and general routes to create time efficient shipping schedules * Ensure Shipping Clerks safely operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklift) and properly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures * Partner with 3rd Party Logistics Companies to coordinate dock times for customer receipt of inventory What you need to succeed: * 3 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving in a warehouse environment * Great written and verbal communication skills with ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization * Strong decision-making skills with the ability to adapt and quickly respond to unforeseen changes in the production environment * Well organized with great time management skills to manage the execution of multiple priorities The starting rate is $23.28 per hour, depending on your role, level, and location. PLEASE NOTE: This position does require at least 2 days a week being worked from the corporate office. Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
