The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Job Responsibilities
Monitor, assess, and care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions in an intensive care setting.
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and operate advanced cardiac life support equipment.
Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement care.
Respond promptly to changes in patient status and perform emergency interventions as necessary.
Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery.
Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, preferably in CVICU or cardiac ICU settings.
ACLS and BLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular pathophysiology and critical care protocols.
Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in high-stress situations.

Respiratory Therapist in attendance at all deliveries to manage respiratory support equipment
Provide care in LDRP, assisting in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
Assist with antepartum testing and stabilization of newborns alongside on-site perinatal specialists and respiratory therapists
No CNAs; one OB Tech per shift
Charge nurse or nurse shift manager present each shift; may take patient assignments when needed
OB physician in-house 24/7; anesthesiologist on-call with 20-minute response time when not present
Holidays rotate with core staff as scheduled
Dress code is hospital scrubs
May not have been directly employed by facilities associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past 12 months

RNs must pass Relias Dysrhythmia and sterile technique testing if required for the region

JOB SUMMARY:
The RN will provide effective and personalized patient care within the outpatient Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Department. He/she will be responsible for patient safety, physical assessments, clinical documentation, treatment plans, continuous communication with clinical staff, tracking of outcomes, and patient education. He/she will assume responsibility for providing quality and timely care for all patients. This person will enable the team of providers to make appropriate decisions to develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care. He/she will demonstrate professionalism and leadership, collaborate with other professionals, and comply with the policies and procedures of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current state license to practice as an RN
Must maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment
ACLS certification is preferred within one (1) year of employment or as available courses allow
Hyperbaric and/or Wound Care experience preferred
Fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus in accordance with Federal CDC and State/Local regulatory guidance
Training and Education to be considered for CHT certification.
