You will work across IT service segments to help us mature our project work in-take and prioritization process. There is a need to improve the way we validate requirements, prioritize work, communicate with submitters, and plan IT resource engagement.
Our department, Healthcare Client Delivery services is the Tenet's customer facing department of Information Technology. We are responsible for the customer experience as it pertains to delivery of IT services for acute care and ambulatory operations. We work with executive teams, clinical leaders, and front-line staff to provide technology tools to meet the needs of our business. This is a terrific time to learn the business side of healthcare and how organizations make difficult decisions in today's economic environment.
I
nternship description/opportunities:
Identifying and implementing ways to improve the efficiency of a company's operations as it pertains to work intake and demand management
Work with the team to recommend appropriate changes in process/approach.
Prepare communication plans regarding process re-engineering for multiple stakeholders.
Update documentation on process improvements and process performance.
Opportunity to participate and learn about Business Planning and complete projects that are value added to the business
Analyzing data
Bi-weekly check ins with Manager on performance & objectives
Willingness to promote academic, career and personal development
Opportunity to provide and receive feedback
Utilize problem solving skills
Assists in special projects, as needed
Timeline:
June 6-August 4, full-time, paid internship
Qualifications:
Prefer candidates at the junior, senior, or graduate student level pursuing a degree in Finance, Analytics or a similar major with strong communication and data analysis skills.
Exhibits exceptional verbal, written and interactive communication skills
Demonstrates effective research tactics; good organizational skills
Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality
Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers
Commits to continuous learning; being self‐motivated and self‐ directed
Ability to work independently with sense of urgency to task completion
Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (advanced skills preferred) and Outlook
Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills
Interest in learning about healthcare business planning
Additional information: this role will be in-person, full time at the Addison (International Plaza) location.
