Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking full-time Production Associate Team Members for our Zwolle, LA. Engineered Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety & have a desire to work in a manufacturing facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.
The starting pay rate will be $19.50 per hour. Upon completion of probationary period, employees are eligible for a wage increase up to $19.97/hour.
Key Functions:
* Total commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations.
* Responsible for cleaning the assigned production area, which involves sweeping and removing debris.
* Responsible for operating equipment in assigned area when operators are on break or otherwise not available.
* Feeding or placing items onto equipment for processing or removing items after processing.
* Interpreting work instructions adequately and successfully completing tasks as delegated.
* Safe start up and shut down of equipment in assigned area of responsibility.
* Must demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new jobs & skills.
* Communicating with team members & leadership to ensure consistent exchange of information relative to position.
* All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
* Steady, documented work history.
* Willingness to work a twelve-hour rotating shift, to include weekends and holidays and/or other shift schedules as assigned.

Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other appropriate government regulations.
Perform other related responsibilities, as needed, to support business objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Mentor and motivate 75-85 team members, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.

To help us attract and retain top talent, new hires may be eligible to earn a Hiring and Retention Bonus of up to $500 (net). Bonus payments are made intermittently, and each Bonus payment installment is separately earned and may be paid as $200 after probation (90 days) and $300 after six (6) months of employment.
Key Functions:
Responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces oriented strand board.
Perform regular Preventive Maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
Work safely and effectively in a team environment.
Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues on a regular basis.
Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
Perform quality checks and ensure production of a quality product.
Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a minimum of two (2) years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Willingness & ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule which will include weekends and holidays
Good communication skills.
Ability to work within a team setting.
Willingness and ability to cross train to learn new jobs & skills.
Able to perform basic math and use computers.
Ability to perform the essential job functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending.
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
Willingness to work in Simsboro, LA without requiring relocation assistance.
