Our McComb, MS lumber mill has an immediate opening for a ProductionSupervisor. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. This position provides excellent growth potential and opportunities for advancement. This position will lead a shift of hourly associates to achieve excellence in safety, quality and production. You will be responsible for safely planning, organization, delivering operational objectives, and coordinating with Maintenance to drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.
Our state-of-the-art mill produces high-quality Southern Yellow Pine lumber used for residential construction throughout the Southern USA. We have a reputation for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.
In this role you will:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Forestry, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
3 years' experience in a supervisory or key leadership role (production experience preferred) is preferred
Track record of achieving superior results both independently and through others
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
Competent computer skills, including MS Office and other Windows based programs
Strong planning, organization and facilitation skills
Willing and able to work all shift, including weekends as needed
Willing to work or be assigned to any department
The following qualifications are preferred:
Sawmill experience or other wood products manufacturing experience
Working knowledge of business and financial concepts

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $68,371-$102,556 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

You should be highly experienced in Food & Beverage or Pharma manufacturing operations especially. In this role, you will directly report to the Head of Operations.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations including developing a daily production plan and ensuring daily operations goals are realized
Manage a growing team of Production Operators (20+)
Develop plans for all aspects of production including equipment purchases, staffing needs, work schedules, and material requirements
Design, implement, and manage production forecasting, capacity planning, and production scheduling based on prioritization of different customer orders in partnership with Commercial team and ensure orders are met in a timely fashion
Evaluate multiple scenarios during production planning for utilization of equipment and labor and ensure the right scenario is chosen along with robust back up plans
Ensure a healthy and safe manufacturing environment for all employees in compliance with federal and state regulations
Collaborate with procurement and supply chain to plan packaging materials inventory to ensure timely availability for production
Develop a thorough understanding of process flow and key controls of the manufacturing processes; use this knowledge along with daily observations of all areas of the operations facility to drive continuous improvement of throughput and yield
Design and implement new manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Establish a system to monitor all variable and fixed costs (e.g., raw material, labor, utilities, etc.) linked to manufacturing in partnership with Finance
Design and implement SOPs providing production instruction for all formulations including make-to-stock and made-to-order runs
Establish a metrics-driven performance management system across cost, service, safety, quality; provide weekly report on performance across established metrics
Build a robust preventative maintenance plan for all manufacturing equipment and order new parts in timely fashion to minimize downtime driven by equipment issues
Develop internal talent with effective coaching, feedback, and individual development plans and ensure multiple employees are trained across manufacturing process to drive consistency in manufacturing output and minimize dependency on individuals
Devise strategy to scale up operations and add new lines
Define quality standards (including both quality control and quality assurance) across our manufacturing (bench top to large scale) and setting up systems and processes to meet those standards
Establish robust metrics-driven system to measure quality of each batch and develop processes to meet defined goals for these metrics (e.g., particle size, PH, etc.)
Lead processes to obtain GMP, Organic, and other relevant certifications for Nulixir's manufacturing facility
Maintain relevant quality and regulatory certification on an annual basis
QualificationsdEducation and Experience:
A minimum of 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 2+ years of that experience in food & beverage, food B2B, or other industries with adjacent manufacturing processes
Worked in a variety of manufacturing roles, including quality control, production, maintenance, purchasing, inventory management and logistics
Any relevant certifications related to manufacturing operations and / or quality control preferred but not a requirement
Experience leading end-to-end manufacturing operations for a single or multiple facilities
Establishing new manufacturing systems, processes, and operations (e.g., experience in setting up new facilities)

What You Will Need:
* Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food processing, fresh produce, or manufacturing.

Position Summary
The Production Manager leads end-to-end operations for custom cabinet and architectural millwork manufacturing, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production across all departments. Essential Duties
Leadership & Culture
Establishes and maintains a positive, high-performance culture grounded in accountability, respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Provides clear leadership to 3-5 productionsupervisors, ensuring alignment with company goals and production standards.
Communicates expectations, performance goals, and operational priorities effectively across teams.

Production & Operations Management
Directs daily production operations including material processing, product finalization, material handling, and shipping at the most economical cost while maintaining required quality and performance standards.
Manages production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer delivery timelines and design specifications.
Reviews production orders, schedules, and specifications to plan operations and allocate resources appropriately.
Oversees KPI management, MES systems, ERP dashboards, and schedule adherence to ensure operational excellence.
Identifies production risks, bottlenecks, and constraints, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and delays.
Oversees preventive and reactive machine maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment utilization and reduce unplanned failures.
Ensures availability of raw materials, components, and finished parts to meet production demand and sequencing needs.
Collaborates with Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, and other support teams to ensure materials are ordered and available as needed.
Work closely with the team to establish and maintain standards for costing and tracking raw materials.
Employee Management & Development
Provides overall direction for production staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Conducts formal reviews with supervisors and ensures training programs are implemented for production personnel.
Builds leadership capability within supervisors through coaching, delegation, and skill development.
Develops staffing plans and ensures coverage across departments and shifts as needed.
Fosters cross-training to support skill diversification and workforce flexibility.
Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Enforces company policies related to safety, human relations, and production goals, consistent with OSHA and local regulations
Maintains a safe working environment through audits, corrective actions, incident investigation, and ongoing training.
Ensures compliance with manufacturing standards, EH&S policies, and quality requirements.
Partners with Quality function to maintain consistent adherence to specifications and customer expectations.
Technical Systems & Data Management
Utilizes MES, ERP, and dashboard systems to compile, store, analyze, and report production data
Demonstrates high proficiency in spreadsheets for KPI tracking, capacity planning, forecasting, and problem-solving.
Oversees digital production scheduling, resource allocation, inventory controls, and real-time performance tracking.
Ensures accurate and timely reporting of production metrics, downtime, labor utilization, and operational performance.
Qualifications Skills & Experiences Required:
10-15 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a production management role.
Strong background in manufacturing / shop operations to include; custom cabinet manufacturing, woodworking, metal or related manufacturing.
High technical proficiency with spreadsheets (advanced formulas, dashboards, data modeling).
Experience managing KPIs, MES/ERP systems, and production scheduling tools.
Experience managing multiple production shifts.
Demonstrated success overseeing multiple supervisors and large production teams.
Proven ability to identify production bottlenecks, mitigate risks, and optimize flow.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs and machine utilization strategies.
Deep knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
