Key Responsibilities:
This role offers a unique opportunity to join our team in either the Track or Structures Department, contributing to essential infrastructure that supports BNSF's operations.
In the Track Department, you will be able to:

Pay rate: $22 / hr
Responsibilities
With this internship, the intern(s) will assist the Reliability Engineer(s) with the development and automation of new reporting systems for aircraft data analytics.
Typical job duties include:
Conduct detailed data analysis of aircraft systems and component performance.
Identify trends in large data sets.
Develop presentations including recommendations based on large data set analysis.
Create dashboards to highlight trends in aircraft and systems performance.
Automate current processes and reporting.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment and the ability to prioritize work and projects in order to meet deadlines and objectives. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.
Position Requirements:
Minimum age of 18
Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in: Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science
Must be classified as a Junior or Senior
3.0 minimum Grade Point Average
Proficiency in MS Office that includes Excel (pivot tables, VB, ETC.), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Proficiency in Tableau, and/or Power BI
Ability to present data to all levels of management.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Must be willing and able to travel

Responsibilities
Assist or lead in production of construction plans, specifications, and developing cost estimates for new and existing public infrastructure projects in the San Antonio area and across Texas
Apply AutoCAD and/or Microstation software in drafting design plans for public works (utilities, roadway, and drainage/stormwater infrastructure).
Conduct field visits to understand existing site conditions and evaluate the scope of work to be designed and ultimately constructed.
Prepare permitting application packages in coordinating with governing agencies and department.
Prepare engineering reports, construction specifications, and bid documents
Attend meetings with team members in coordination with client team members.
Address review comments received and prepare plan updates in AutoCAD and/or Microstation software.
Perform site visits following the completion of design and bidding to observe construction and prepare construction observation reports
Attend industry events for networking and relationship building and become involved in the engineering community and related professional organizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
0-4 years' experience in public infrastructure projects with a focus on design production and construction document preparation.
Engineer in Training (EIT) license obtained or scheduled to sit for exam within 6 months of employment.
AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience is strongly preferred
