A strong background in FL roadway design engineering is required, as well as an understanding of and coordination with multiple other disciplines, including roadway drainage, structures, and survey to name a few. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment where projects may be derived from many delivery methods, including conventional publicly bid projects and design-build. Responsibilities: Manage/develop engineering designs, including geometric alignments, profiles, cross sections, construction, and maintenance of traffic details; Create engineering documents, including Typical Section Packages, Pavement Design Reports, and Variation/Exception Reports; Coordinate with WGI's clients and team members, prepare meeting notes, prepare invoices, and progress reports to support his or her projects; Perform quality control reviews and prepare/oversee construction quantity estimates; Cross-train in other transportation disciplines, including drainage, signing and pavement marking, signalization and maintenance of traffic; Develop plans, calculations and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering teams. Pursue additional work from existing and new WGI clients and be responsible for meeting with clients, preparing pursuit materials and coordinating with required discipline leads. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college, Master's Degree is a strong plus; Demonstrated 10+ years in progressively responsible experience; FL Professional Engineering Registration; Highway design lead experience preferred: Project Management with FDOT; Project Management with municipalities; Prior supervisory experience leading an engineering team; Proficiency in Microstation/ORD Experience with 3D Corridor Modeling a strong plus; Ability to lead winning project pursuits including letter of interest preparation, presentation development and presentation skills (interviews, question & answer sessions, leading presentations); Prepare contracts, scopes of services, fee estimates (in accordance with FDOT standard practices and requirements); Ability/desire to lead a team of engineering and marketing staff to pursue, win and design transportation-related project; Ability to work independently and on large multi-discipline teams; Microsoft Office skills - including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Exceptional oral and written communication skills; Travel to other office locations may be required. Facilitate project kick-offs, team meetings, and coordination. Promote WGI's core values and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Project & Financial Management Oversee scope, schedule, and budget for multiple projects and manage projects in BST. Collaborate with task managers and accountants on invoicing, planning, and resource allocation. Monitor financial performance, including revenue recognition and profitability. Prepare and negotiate contracts and fee estimates in collaboration with the client. Direct responsibility for projects in the development of plans and specifications that include paving, grading, drainage and detention facilities, water lines, sanitary sewers, and other miscellaneous items. Client Engagement & Business Development Build and maintain strong client relationships. Lead proposal development and manage pursuits. Track opportunities using aec360 tools and contribute to marketing efforts. Technical Oversight Work with task leaders to manage and review technical tasks for the team. Comply with applicable specifications, technical documents and regulations. Serve as Professional of Record when required (potentially). Comply with WGI Quality Control Manual and Safety Policy and Practices. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's or PMP a plus) preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in project and team management within the AEC industry. Leadership & Communication Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. Strong mentoring, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent written and verbal communication; confident in presenting to clients and leadership. Certifications PE, AICP, or other relevant licensure required.
