About Us MWL Festival Production is seeking Bag Checkers for its client Magical Winter Lights - a spectacular, larger-than-life 45-day festival that presents a fresh multicultural take on traditional holiday light shows. About the role The Bag Checker interacts with customers at the front gate to maintain the safety and well being of all persons, enforcing the festival's policies and guidelines. This position has a rate of $10/hr. An ideal candidate is: Proficient attention to detail and organization. Punctual, and committed to all general responsibilities. Proficient at communicating with customers, coworkers, and management. Personable and friendly, while maintaining consistent professionalism in all interactions with customers, and being firm when needed. Responsibilities Include: Checking guests' bags or other carrying articles for weapons, pets or any prohibited items. Directing customers to take any prohibited items back to their vehicle, otherwise they will be denied entry into the festival. Making sure that any unauthorized food or beverages are not brought into the festival, with the exception of approved items for small children. Monitoring the festival entry points to ensure only ticketed guests and authorized personnel are allowed entry. Refusing entry to unauthorized persons. Assisting in keeping the festival entry and exit points clean and orderly. Requirements: Must have reliable transportation and be able to commute to the festival at Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. Be able to stand for extended periods of time. Able to work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions. Legal working status in the United States. Must be available to work afternoon hours, weekends as well as holidays if scheduled (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day) Desired Skills: Previous experience in a security-related occupation. The Floorhand I is responsible for performing tasks associated with the operations of a well servicing rig. The Floor Hand I works under the direct supervision of the Rig Operator and Tool Pusher to carry out all assigned job duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Understand RES concept of Stop Work Accountability Ability to learn RES safety policies and procedures Participate in Meet and Greet at location sites Participate in JSA/DWP and tail gate meetings as scheduled Basic understanding and ability to operate rig equipment - slips, tongs and elevators Basic understanding of mud pump and fluid handling operations Understand the role of a floorhand during loss of well control events Pull and run rods and tubing Understand basic secondary lift mechanisms such as rod and electric submersible pumps Assist in pipe tallying, rigging up and down and nippling up and down BOP units Responsible for keeping work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order Assist in the day to day lubrication and minor adjustments of equipment Basic ability to identify hazards and perform Behavior Based Safety Observations Understand and assist in energy isolation procedures Ability to learn new skills as directed by Rig Operator and mentors Responsible to stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately Report all incidents immediately Other duties as assigned REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 6 months of experience working on a well servicing rig preferred Must be familiar with pump and tank operations Must have a valid state issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment Competent communication skills Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work a flexible schedule COMPUTER Basic knowledge of MS Office preferred PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Must complete and pass all required pre-employment screenings.
