    Job Description Responsible for undertaking a wide range of clinical data and administrative duties to support the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Works closely with the CMO, providers, clinical teams and leadership to maintain a well organized and effective healthcare environment. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training, Experience and Other Requirements: BSN from an accredited school of nursing required. Master's degree preferred. One to two years professional nursing experience in ambulatory care setting preferred. Must be licensed to practice nursing in the State of Alabama. Must possess knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of public health nursing. Must have strong skills with project management, troubleshooting and possess excellent analytical skills with ability to identify errors and propose solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Superb analytical, organization, leadership and time management skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor. Meets the Center's requirements of compliance with rules, policies, and procedures. Assist with managing the provider and on call schedules. Provide monthly provider productivity reports to the CMO for the Board of Directors Meetings. Acts as a liaison between the medical staff and the administration team as needed. Provide clinical reports and data as directed by the CMO. Attend semi-monthly provider meetings. Review and update policies and procedures relating to clinical care. Ensure patients receive the necessary care, including processing medication refills, addressing critical labs and urgent items in providers task boxes, etc. Make frequent clinical rounds to ensure patient flow, inform providers of any changes in staffing mix, patient conditions, or medical needs and make adjustments as necessary. Responsible for addressing patient concerns and complaints. As directed by the CMO, may perform telephone evaluations of patients and/or return phone calls to patients to answer questions, provide information, follow up with care, etc.; inform the patient of the proper procedure in each situation; may schedule an appointment with physician if necessary. In emergency situations, may be required to work with the clinical team as needed. Tools and Equipment: Operates standard office equipment including computer, copier, scanner, fax machine and telephone. Working Conditions: Indoor work in an office atmosphere. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is routinely required to speak and listen. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, kneel or crouch. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Bending, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting may be required when assisting patients. Must be able to sit for extended period and may be required to spend extended time working at a computer.
