EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: • High School or GED Diploma required - Associates Degree or Certification in related field preferred • 3-5 years of experience with CNC programming, and operating a CNC machine • Experience programming in Master CAM /Feature CAM or equivalent • Experience modeling in SolidWorks/SolidEdge • Must have a proficient understanding of G-code and M-code programming • Experience setting up and troubleshooting CNC machines • Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices and be able to select tooling and machining resources • Strong mathematical skills and blueprint with GD&T reading capabilities • Able to read instrumentation and gauges for measurement purposes DESCRIPTION OF JOB DUTIES: • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Develop CNC programs using Master CAM/Feature CAM based on engineering drawings and models • Configure tools and ensure efficient production • Analyze drawings, blueprints, and design data to calculate correct part dimensions for machines, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates • Monitor output and proper operation of mechanical equipment • Make mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure - parts meet quantity and quality requirements • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures and gauges to check work • Read instrumentation and gauges to accurately measure part dimensions within tenths • Communicate recommendations to modify processes to improve productivity and quality • Detect errors or irregularities, make corrections and ensure an audit trail for all program changes PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Seeing: Required for visual inspection of work and/or part(s) Speaking: Required Hearing: Required Standing: Occasionally Walking: Often Sitting: Frequently Lifting: Occasionally, up to 75-pounds Carrying: Occasionally, up to 50-pounds Pushing: Rarely, up to 100-pounds Pulling: Rarely, up to 100-pounds Climbing: Rarely Balancing: Occasionally Bending: Frequently Twisting: Frequently Reaching: Frequently Grasping/Handling: Frequently, for dexterity, fine finger handling Stooping/Crouching: Frequently Kneeling: Occasionally Crawling: Rarely Environmental Conditions: Inside: 98% Outside: 2% Temperature Conditions: Controlled -in Excess of 70-degrees - occasionally Knight Enterprises Management, L.L.C. is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability status, ancestry, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other protected factor by country, regional or local law.
