We are looking for someone who has some experience with bike maintenance, works well in fast-paced positions and is looking for a long-term career in the bike industry. As an essential business and in support of hundreds of other essential businesses, our Santa Cruz factory is ramping production back up, and we are assembling bikes to keep up with the increased global demand. In efforts to create a safe workplace we are complying with all Covid19 workplace recommendations and guidelines to keep our employees safe including; daily temperature readings, hand washing/sanitizing, wearing protective masks, keeping 6 feet distance between people, optional factory-supplied and sanitized coverall uniforms to wear during work, and more.
Starting wage is $18.00/hour
Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
+ Complete wheel assembly tasks quickly and accurately at your station based on company standard procedures:
+ Load wheel hubs based on orders needed and organize completed hubs in specified bins to ready for lacing
+ Tape wheel rims to quality control standards, wrap wheels to ready for assembly
+ Perform quality control checks on built wheels using production standards
+ Maintain a tidy and organized workstation and assist with machine cleaning and sweeping
+ Collaborate with your team on wheel assembly station coverage and cross-training
+ Assist other departments as necessary
Competencies & Requirements:
+ Experience working successfully in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to understand and follow directions as given
+ Ability to work as part of a team
+ Knowledge of basic math to do simple calculations for parts needed
+ High attention to detail and accuracy
+ Experience using a drill or other hand tools
+ Punctual with a stellar attendance record
+ Comfortable working in repetitive roles
+ Ability to lift 50 pounds
+ Ability to stand, lift, twist, and reach 100% of the time while working
