Perform administrative duties such as: filing, completing forms, reading memos and attend meetings, as directed. Create and maintain a good customer service environment. Training/In-Service Attendance: Attend and participate in all required in-services and educational classes. Attend and participate in workshops, seminars and coursework, as directed. Safety and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize all dishes, silverware, utensils, equipment, etc.., in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as with our established policies and procedures. Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies Follow and establish safety procedures and precautions when performing the aspects of your job. Report all injuries immediately to your supervisor. Lift using proper technique. Assist others when directed. Report all unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment to your supervisor. Maintain a work area that is clean and hazard free. Follow all infection control procedures as they apply. Know and follow fire and disaster plans. Use personal protective equipment when performing tasks that might involve infectious materials. Equipment and Supply Usage: Report all equipment malfunctions or breakdowns immediately. Report low or depleted supplies to the appropriate person. Use equipment for its intended purpose. Follow correct official procedures when using equipment. Assure that sufficient clean dishes, silverware, serving utensils/containers, glassware, work utensils, supplies, etc. are readily available for all meals and/or special functions. Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary. Operate/use all dietary services equipment in a safe and sanitary manner, and in compliance with all federal, state, local, and community regulations and policies. Resident Rights: Maintain the confidentiality of resident information. Handle all resident property with respect. Knock before entering into a resident's room or dwelling. Ensure that residents are treated fairly and with respect allowing for individuality and privacy. Uphold the residents' civil rights. Regulatory Compliance: Follow all OSHA, CDC guidelines. Review book of Material Safety Data Sheets prior to working with any chemicals. Treat all team members fairly and equally without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, age, sex, religion, handicap or marital status. Adhere to all local, state or federal regulations as they apply. Completes annual compliance training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the code of conduct in the performance of their duties. Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Clean work tables, refrigerators/freezers, etc. Sweep and mop floors as directed. Clean walls and ceilings as directed. Carry soiled utensils, etc., to wash area. Place soiled linens in designated hampers/laundry area, following departmental policies and procedures. Return clean utensils to proper storage areas. Carry out garbage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc. Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed Clean and sanitize all dishes, pots/pans, glassware, silverware, serving utensils/containers, work utensils, etc., according to departmental policies and procedures. Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures. Assure that dishes, utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal. Return clean dishes, glassware, silverware, serving utensils, work utensils, etc., are delivered to proper storage area. Perform daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Set up room service trays and staff trays according to established departmental policies and procedures. Deliver room service trays as necessary. Remove food trays from carts and take to dishwashing area. Review and comply with Material Safety Data Sheet information. Perform other duties as assigned.
