A few details about the role:
Provides supportive services to certifiednursingassistants and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
Assists resident with meal delivery, delivers meal and fluids to resident.
Ensures dining room is clean and ready for mealtimes such as set-up and clean-up of plates, utensils, napkins, and ensuring dining areas are clean after meals.
Completes housekeeping duties in resident rooms while CNA's are providing care.
Cleans dentures.
Makes list of residents whose fingernails and toenails need trimming.
Checks every call light for proper working order and document if any issues are seen as directed by a supervisor. Notify supervisor of issues immediately.
Checks privacy curtains for cleanliness. Retrieve clean privacy curtain from laundry as needed and change.
Assists with resident visitors as instructed.
Assists resident with accessing electronic devices including tablet/iPad, phone, computer usage, internet, tv, etc.
Takes dirty linen, trash and soiled clothing barrels to the laundry as needed. Retrieves clean linen, trash, and clothing barrels for the assigned unit to maintain par levels.
Cleans medical equipment not in use, cleans soiled and clean utility rooms on assigned unit.
Provides companion services as assigned such as but not limited to reading, table games, cards or other activity as requested by the resident.
Assists with transporting resident to activities once the resident has been safely transferred into a wheelchair by certified staff.
Delivers mail to residents as assigned.
Posts activity calendars in resident rooms as assigned.
Reports changes in a resident's condition to the resident's nurse and supervisor.

Summary
Assists in clerical and system coordination of the nursing units that support the environment and ensures patients and families are treated in a holistic manner with dignity and respect. Coordinates all nursing unit communications and activities; monitors, updates orders, and schedules diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Job Duties
Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration), I and O (intake and output), daily weights, and other patient data.
Reports any treatments, results, observations, and patient complaints to the charge nurse.
Assists team members and performs routine procedures such as enemas and sitz baths; collects and labels specimens and applies hot/cold packs as needed.
Receives and contributes pertinent information at shift report, patient status, unit activity and condition, and incomplete work assignments.
Receives, places, and transfers calls using appropriate scripting and telephone etiquette while respecting patient confidentiality.
Assists in assembling, thinning, restocking, labeling, obtaining and filing reports, closing, and disassembling.
Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders, and ambulation.
Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties such as lifting and pushing/pulling while utilizing proper technique and assistive devices.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
1 year of experience in direct patient care experience in acute care, sub-acute, or home care setting.

Serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless, high-quality patient experience. This role combines administrative, clerical, and clinical responsibilities to enhance workflow efficiency, optimize patient care coordination, and provide direct clinical support. Collaborates with providers, clinical team, and administrative staff to facilitate care delivery while upholding a high standard of customer service.
Job Duties
Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding and relationships with consumers and the secondary guest(s).
Coordinate and perform patient check-in/check-out, ensuring accurate registration and information collection. Verify insurance eligibility, collect payments (co-pays or self-pay fee), and process referrals. Schedule appointments while optimizing clinic workflow. Handle patient inquiries. Maintain electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Maintaining all required logs includes but is not limited to quality control logs and stat cart checks.
Measurement and collection of patient data including temperature, pulse, oxygenation saturation, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight, and in indicated pediatric patients, length, and head circumference. Ensure accurate documentation in the medical record.
Assist providers with the collection of patient information including reason for visit, chief complaint, health history, allergies and current medications for provider review.
Complete patient rooming process and implement standard operating procedures to expedite the care process and provide patient comfort. Identify patient risks and communicate them to the provider. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and supply stocking.
Collect and prepare lab specimens and complete necessary requisitions.
Administer medications and vaccinations per provider orders and established protocols within their scope of practice.
Support patient procedures and assist with medical examinations.
Complete follow-up phone calls to all patients within two to three days post discharge.
Minimum Qualifications
Specialized Diploma as a Medical Assistant or completion of LVPG Medical Assistant Trainee course.
Strong multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in EMR systems, word processing, and Excel.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency, in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Within 30 Days
