The Registered Nurse assists the interdisciplinary team in planning resident care and developing a written plan of care. The Registered Nurse reviews laboratory and other diagnostic study results. Reports abnormal findings to the physician. The Registered Nurse assesses resident for pain and manages resident's pain proactively and effectively. The Registered Nurse recognizes health problems and treatments that may cause pain and administers pharmacologic and complementary interventions to prevent discomfort. The Registered Nurse gives complete and quality nursing care in accordance with established standards of Gerontological Nursing Practice, state and federal regulations and facility policies and procedures.
