  • Ensures that all activities relating to the benefits programs are communicated throughout the Company through Employees payroll attachments, articles, correspondence, and memos.

  • Organizes and Conducts annual Benefit Enrollment for all SCDC employees.
  • Organizes Vaccination Clinic’s that may be necessary throughout the year to protect our employees.
  • Stays abreast of benefit trends in the community through surveys, articles, reports, and seminars.
  • Promotes Safety and Wellness programs for the organization.
  • Directs performance of clerical functions such as updating records and processing insurance changes based in Qualifying Events, as defined by Law, and as communicated from carriers.
  • Administers all leave of absence programs (LOA or FMLA), ensuring compliance with Company policy and collection of insurance premiums due during Employee’s leave of absence.
  • Provides proper data to ensure proper billing.
  • Assists with Employee counseling regarding Rehabilitation, Drug and/or Alcohol Programs, and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Oversees in conjunction with payroll, all annual Benefit Audits in partnership with current TPA(s) and/or Broker.
  • Oversees administration of all 401K processes, to include annual audits.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of ACA requirements and records thereof for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Assists payroll in the preparation and processing of biweekly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments in accordance with applicable law(s) and other payroll deductions.
  • Coordinates with payroll for benefit invoice reconciliations and communication allocations to Accounts Payable in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Works in conjunction with other HR related projects to align with Mission, Vision of SCDC Corporation.
  • Other duties as assigned by HR Director, HR Manager or CEO/CFO.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. (GED) required. Bachelor’s Degree from a Four-Year College or University preferred; or two to four years related Human Resource experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current knowledge and/or trainings regarding ACA regulations preferred but not required.
