Primary Duties / Responsibilities: * General vessel maintenance, including safe handling of tools and equipment for surface preparation and the application of paints and solvents. * Assisting in machinery spaces as required. * Maintenance of emergency equipment and assisting in the maintenance of lifesaving and firefighting equipment as directed by the Chief Officer. * Assisting in the launch, recovery and routine daily maintenance of rescue craft. * Undertaking duties of Helideck Attendant as directed. * Assisting in all matters related to marine operations, including Watchkeeping duties as required. * Assisting the Operations Department if requested to do so by the Chief Officer. * Performing emergency duties in accordance with the vessel's Muster List / Station Bill. * Ensuring that daily activities are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits. * Complete other duties and/or projects as required and assigned by management. Qualifications Education / Training: Qualification requirements are contained in the Vessel Qualifications and Training Matrix appropriate to each vessel. Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) and TWIC are required for this position. Skills: Able to speak and understand English. Able to work as a team member.
