CEOBio

Tony Cucolo is the President and CEO of Professional Contract Services, Inc, a Texas-based nationwide non-profit company whose mission is to find meaningful work and careers for people with disabilities and veterans. PCSI currently provides a full range of services at more than 27 sites across the country from total facilities maintenance at large military bases to critical environmental services at a number of hospitals. PCSI’s “currency” is jobs and total inclusion for talented people those who might often be overlooked. Tony completed more than 35 years of service in the United States Army in September 2014. While a General Officer from 2003 to 2014, he led Soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, led analysis teams in combat zones and on disaster recovery efforts such as Hurricane Katrina, and commanded the largest Army base east of the Mississippi. Additionally, he developed the $35B equipment program for the Army, was the Army’s Chief of Public Affairs, and was a college president equivalent, serving as Commandant of the US Army War College. Commissioned an Infantry officer in 1979, he served worldwide leading organizations varying in size from 100 personnel to 22,000. Most notably, three times from 1996 to 2010, he led organizations in significant high risk confidence-building efforts between ethnic and religious antagonists. In Bosnia, he encouraged Muslim, Serb, and Croat leaders to reach agreements on a range of issues, bringing stability to a hotly contested area. In Afghanistan, he led initial tripartite efforts between US, Afghan and Pakistan military leaders. And in Iraq, as commander of US forces north of Baghdad, he successfully emplaced a grass-roots effort to build confidence between Iraqi Arabs and Kurds along the disputed ethnic fault line crossing that country from Syria to Iran. After transition from the Army, Tony served more than four years as an executive with the University of Texas System, the second largest public university system in the nation comprised of 14 academic and medical institutions. He then co-founded the National Security Innovation Council, a non-profit initiative to optimize national security problem solving through development of an innovation base in Texas. He remains their Senior Military Advisor. He is also on the faculty of Thayer Leadership and is a mentor for several US Army leader development programs. Tony holds a bachelor's degree from West Point and a master’s degree from the University of San Francisco. He is married to the former Evanthia Magni, of Athens, Greece.
