1990

In 1990 his partner William Merchantz departed with the software side of the company, leaving Bernard in charge of the consulting business, which then had revenues of $9 million a year.

1996

In 1996, the company began to sell stock to the public.

1997

For fiscal 1997 the company had $173.5 million in revenue.

By mid-1997 USWeb began buying its affiliates and grew to more than 1,000 employees at the end of 1997.

In 1997, Fortune magazine named it one of the fastest-growing companies in the US.

1998

It had about 1,800 employees when the merger was completed in December 1998.

At the end of 1998 the company’s workforce had grown to 3,000 employees.

Late in 1998 USWeb merged with the CKS Group Inc., an advertising and marketing firm based in Cupertino, California, that USWeb acquired for stock valued at more than $540 million.

1999

By the end of 1999, 90 percent of the company’s projects were related to electronic commerce.

2000

A formal brand launch for marchFIRST was planned for the summer of 2000.

On March 1, 2000, the merger was completed.

2003

The market for e-commerce services in North America alone was projected to grow to $80 billion by 2003.

2008

Rolta acquired Whittman-Hart Consulting on July 29, 2008.
