Job Summary
Coordinates all activities associated with the admissions of a prospective patient. Coach and monitor Admission staff in all areas related to the Admission Department, including but not limited to: inquiry calls, scheduling intake screenings, providing orientation to patients and family members to the facility. Responsible for conversion rate of admission calls to admissions.
Responsibilities:
Provides coaching to staff to provide best-in-class services in the areas of patient admissions.
Supervises call activities to ensure prompt and courteous answering of calls, consistent and appropriate follow up calling, and appropriate resources delivered for non-viable calls.
Coordinates with appropriate staff on daily basis to schedule admits, notifies appropriate staff of pending admissions with high level of detail and accuracy.
Trains, coaches, and monitors Admission staff to ensure knowledge in receiving and recording inquiry calls; responding appropriately to all requests for information; process for referring callers that do not fit program criteria to other sources; conducting pre-admit screening; collection of pertinent patient demographic and insurance information.
Consults with Financial Coordinator to determine financial options for incoming patients
Qualifications
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a behavioral health or related field; Master's degree preferred.
At least five (5) years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
Must have valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Must maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
