Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system. Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management. Develops and implements departmental budget. Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff. Performs other duties as required. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. At least five years of human resource management experience required. Performs basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations and labeling of components, assemblies, or subassemblies. Assembles standard products within established times and quality levels. Routes, wires, assembles, and installs electrical and electronic components, such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels, and instrument and radio panels, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools, and equipment. Connects wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, condensers, switches, and solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units, using soldering gun and hand tools. Reads work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine established assembly methods. Visually inspects parts for proper insertion and placement. Roles & Responsibilities Provides design for manufacturability feedback to mechanical engineers throughout the product development process. Identifies any design flaws during testing and helps refine solutions. Ensures ease of assembly and cost-effectiveness in the mechanical design process. Maintains organized records of design changes, testing results, and engineering decisions for future reference and traceability. Assists in the preparation of project schedules for manufacturing engineering tasks, ensuring efficient use of time and budget. Tracks project progress for manufacturing engineering tasks, regularly prepares reports, and ensures that deadlines are met, with moderate supervision to stay on schedule. Presents results and reports to senior level management and/or external parties. Stays up to date with the latest mechanical engineering trends, tools, and technologies, and incorporates them into the team's design and development processes with management support. Conducts time and motion studies to optimize workflows. Diagnoses and resolves issues in production lines. Provides technical support to the production team to minimize downtime. Collects and analyzes process data to monitor performance. Uses statistical tools to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for efficiency gains. Assists in the training of operators on new processes or equipment. Helps monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process. Prepares engineering documentation such as drawings, root cause/ corrective action documents, and technical reports. Performs other duties as directed. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing). 3+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience. Required Skills/Abilities: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of SolidWorks to design complex systems. Ability to work on complex projects with moderate supervision. Strong ability to conduct and document root cause / corrective action. Strong ability to document test results and write a conclusion statement. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes. Hands-on experience with prototype fabrication and testing. Good interpersonal communication skills. Roles & Responsibilities: Serve as the technical authority in the development of advanced military systems. Generate user requirement documents with input from the customer, users, business development team, and others as necessary. Translate user requirements to functional specifications and product requirements. Establish system design architectures, specifications, trade studies and conceptual designs to provide direction to the product engineering development team. Arbitrate technical decisions between engineering disciplines through informed, methodical decision-making process that reflects thorough understanding of product requirements and customer priorities. Lead development and maintenance of detailed Interface Control Documents. Lead or assist in troubleshooting products throughout all phases of the product lifecycle. Work closely with the sales and business development team to provide customer facing support. Develop and execute test plans to verify and validate requirements, analyze the results, and identify areas for improvement as part of the SEIT group. Serve as a key member of the Verification and Validation team to ensure all design testing is done in accordance with specified standards. Assist with failure analysis and develop resolutions for system issues. Generate and present technical briefings to company staff and customers including project kickoffs, design reviews, and test readiness reviews. Contribute innovative ideas for product development and process improvement efforts. Mentorship to Jr. Systems Engineers. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related engineering discipline. 10+ years of experience in a systems engineering role or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of product development throughout the entire product lifecycle, including design reviews and test readiness reviews.
