Wildish Land Co. had grown by 1960 to include all elements of road construction — sand and gravel, concrete and asphalt operations.
Along with his mother, Verna, Jim Wildish and four of his brothers carried on the business after founder T.C. Wildish died in 1963.
After Verna Wildish’s death in 1991, ownership of the company went to all 11 surviving children — one sibling died as a toddler before the family’s move to Eugene.
Then in 1995, Jim Wildish and four members of the family’s third and fourth generations bought out the shares of other second-generation owners.
