The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for Electrical Assembler to join our team. The Assembler is responsible for assembling complex fuel control units for gas turbine engines. This position is for 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm).
Additionally, Electrical Assembler will:
Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assemblies
Follow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.
Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operations.
Solder wires and other electronic components.
Perform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as required.
Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, arbor pressing.
Assemble bearings, pistons, O-rings, seals, springs etc. into machined housings.
Verify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instruments.
Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality Policy.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience with machinal and electrical assemblies.
1 year using precision tools, fixture and measuring equipment.
Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings and follow planning instructions.
Attention to detail, ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time, and work in a team environment.
Ability to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skills.
Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).

The Opportunity
The WI Advanced Development Team is recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer to support engine and component level testing related to the development and of new technologies and products. The Test Engineer will plan, coordinate, and execute testing within schedule and cost constraints and will report results to Project Leadership. The Test Engineer will be cross-functional and capable of performing design tasks in support of test requirements.
Additionally, the Senior Test Engineer will:
Serve as a member of the product design and development teams and provide feedback, guidance and critique based on lessons learned during assembly and test efforts; and participates in design and gate reviews as appropriate
Support design and manufacturing activities related to tooling, instrumentation and hardware modification
Be responsible for all test planning documentation and assembly test orders and leads the test planning and readiness reviews (internal and external)
Engage with WI resource managers to manage and direct the assigned test resources to best meet test objectives
Support and directs tasks by the Test Methods group for required test facilities and modifications
Work closely with Project Leadership to maintain schedule and scope
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
Prior and relevant test experience is required (3-5 years minimum)
Practical project, engineering design, and manufacturing job knowledge and skills is desired
Highly motivated and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
Proficiency using NX with Teamcenter
Proficiency using Python or other data post-processing tools for large data sets
Excellent mechanical aptitude with knowledge of turbofan engines
Excellent written and verbal communications
Must be flexible in support of long duration testing and willing to travel to support testing at third party facilities

The Opportunity

The Associate Program Manager will assist with directing and coordinating functional departments of the company to meet the requirements of specific assigned programs. Additionally, the Associate Program Manager will:

Coordinates preparation of required customer reports for submittal.
Assists in identifying and recommends thresholds for variance reports.
Supports in the overall direction, coordination, planning and reporting of assigned programs.
Supports Program Manager in reporting cost status of programs with recommendations or corrective action. Prepares cost status for submittal to customers.
Supports Program Manager in preparation of program reviews and status reviews with customer and/or senior management.
Serves as focal point for internal and external communications for assigned programs.
Prepares written communications to external customers for signature of Program Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering.
Work involves practical job knowledge and skill gained with 5-8 years of program management experience.
Excellent writing, presentation and verbal communication techniques are necessary.
Program, project or US Government contract management experience will be very useful.
Must be capable of working in a fast paced and pressure filled environment and have the ability to function effectively in a team setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
PMP Certification is desired.

The Opportunity

The Project Scheduler will be responsible for working with engineering to prepare schedule data for programs, projects, proposals and contract negotiations. Williams International has an exciting opportunity for two Machine Maintenance Technicians to join our Advanced Manufacturing team. Working in a team environment, the Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for minimizing production down time by performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all manufacturing and production equipment. This includes a diverse range of production machinery, from basic mechanical systems to complex computer-controlled and robotic systems.
Additionally, the Machine Maintenance Technician will:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on all mechanical, electrical, and automated systems to prevent unscheduled downtime.
Ensure that machines and equipment are properly aligned and/or calibrated as required.
Respond to and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, diagnosing the root cause of malfunctions using a combination of observation, technical manuals, and advanced diagnostic tools.
Complete repairs on machines and equipment when appropriate, escalating complex or advanced issues to the appropriate parties when necessary.
Dismantle machinery to remove defective parts and replace them with new ones using standard tools such as hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and multimeters.
Maintain CNC machines and use ladder logic processes to properly diagnose and repair faults of unscheduled equipment interruptions.
Work with advanced control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), to troubleshoot and debug automation sequences.
Assist Engineers and Installation Technicians with initial set up and relocation manufacturing equipment.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs performed, and parts used.
May occasionally train, mentor, and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Certifications or technical training in industrial maintenance is a plus.
4-5 years of experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including at least 1 year working with automated production systems.

PLC & Robot operations
Troubleshooting or basic root cause analysis

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Operation of various computerized automatic plating systems
Loading and unloading of hardware onto and off of plating racks
Taping, wax masking, and demasking of hardware
Operation of heat treat systems
Maintenance of chemical processing lines including:
Making chemical additions and maintaining chemical tanks
Performing routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated
Assisting with waste water treatment
Maintaining cleanliness in and around the equipment
Perform chemical drainage, tank cleaning, refilling, and chemistry adjustments as instructed.
Inspection and/or test related activities to ensure that parts are plated in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications
Qualifications:
High School or GED required
2+ years of prior experience with special coatings, plating, and/or anodizing is preferred
Working knowledge of industrial manufacturing safety requirements or hazardous materials is a plus
Ability to follow all safety and planning instructions

The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist, EDM to join our team. The Machinist will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC EDMs with occasional support for lathes, grinders, or mills. The Machinist will also ensure that machines are properly tooled and maintained. This position is for afternoons 2:30 PM - 11 PM.
Additionally, the Machinists will:
* Set-up and operate miscellaneous CNC EDM machines such as sinker, wire, or poppers.
* Machine parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
* Perform finishing operations, including hand-deburring and visual inspection, to ensure that all machined components meet surface finish and quality requirements.
* Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records are documentation and maintained.
* Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
* Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
* Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the cell.
* Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
* May occasionally train, mentor, and provide guidance to machining apprentices or team members.
* Strive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED
* 2-5 years of experience with CNC EDMs
* Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings and follow planning instructions.
* Familiar with GD&T specifications and capable of performing basic inspections based on engineering drawings.
* Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators etc.
* Attention to detail, ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
* Demonstrates strong organizational and collaborative skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).
* U.S. citizenship is required

We currently have open Rotation Engineer positions in the Controls / Software area at our Pontiac, Michigan location.
The Opportunity
Recent college graduates that enter Williams International's Controls / Software Rotational Engineering Program can expect to spend approximately six months' time in each of two to three different engineering areas (depending upon previous coursework/experience). The rotation programs are coordinated with each individual engineer and typically include engine control design/test/certification, software design/test/certification, complex electronic hardware (embedded systems) design/test/certification, and engine/component development test support. At the end of the rotations, the engineer is placed into a regular engineering assignment. These assignments are coordinated with the rotation engineer and typically intended to meet both the corporation's and the individual's needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Software, Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering, with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Coursework should be relevant to the fields of computer programming, controls design and/or electrical systems
Previous exposure to software development using C+, preferred
One to two summer intern or co-op experiences in an engineering environment, preferred
