The Landscaper supports the care and maintenance of the Williamsburg Landing campus by performing planting, landscaping, and general grounds keeping duties, under the guidance of the Landscape Manager and Lead Landscaper.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Implements landscape designs in residential and public areas
Prepares soil for planting grass, flowers, shrubs, and trees
Installs sod, spreads seed, and re-plants a variety of vegetation
Mixes compost and applies fertilizer as needed to support plant health
Waters plants, flowers, and other greenery to ensure proper growth
Mows lawns, trims shrubs, prunes trees, and removes dead or damaged plants
Clears roads and pathways of weeds, sand, debris, and trash
Collects and properly disposes of litter and refuse as needed
Maintains and repairs irrigation systems, including pipes and valves
Digs and lines ditches, trenches, and culverts for proper drainage
Installs decorative and functional materials such as stone, brick, or rock
Maintains a clean and organized work area; safely disposes of fertilizer and other materials
Ensures all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and best practices
Participates in disaster preparedness and emergency response, including fire drills and snow removal
Performs additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in landscaping and the operation of landscaping equipment; experience with snow removal equipment, preferred
Proficient in reading, writing, and following both verbal and written grounds maintenance processes and instructions
Possession of a valid driver's license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

About the Position
Position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of receptionist activities in serving residents, visitors, and others that include managing and monitoring security systems within the GHA community, as well as responding to security issues. Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Safety and Security, the Security Officer will be responsible for performing the security and surveillance duties at Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads. The Security Officer will provide monitoring and maintenance of the perimeter security, building entrance and egress areas used by Goodwin Living staff and residents, as well as the parking facilities, patrol the interior of the building perimeter, maintain safety and security standards under emergency conditions, communicate orally and in writing, complete reports of security operations, perform non-routine assignments, and non-urgent maintenance duties after maintenance hours.
The pay for this position is $22/hr
Job Duties:
Monitoring of security stations, operating and maintaining security equipment.
Provision of security services through enforcement of Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads policies and procedures.
Tasks to be completed by Security Officer.
C1. Provide security services as directed for any special events, including setting up of “No Parking” signs, conducting traffic, and parking, etc.
C2. Assist in delivering / escorting emergency vehicles to building entrance where needed (when resident needs to be transported to Hospital).
C3. Understand the Fire System to perform the following operations when system sounds:
a. Reset system.
b. Report supervisory troubles on the system to Maintenance Staff
c. Restore / secure any activated pull stations
Provision of emergency and other services on weekends, holidays, and at other times when staff who normally perform these duties are not present.
Patrolling the interior of the secure perimeter and inspection of the facility.
Communication (oral and written and record-keeping) for Goodwin House Bailey's Crossroads security operations.

About the Position
As the Assisted Living Manager/Administrator, you will be primarily responsible for providing leadership for the day-to-day operations of Assisted Living, ensuring regulatory compliance and adequate staffing, in accordance with budget and needs of residents, supervision of AL team members and oversight of resident care and quality of life and engagement. At Goodwin Living, Health Care and Assisted Living Servers are responsible for the overall operation and sanitation of the tray area including preparing, assembling, and delivering trays.
We are looking for someone who can work 4pm-7:30pm 4-5 days a week. You should have weekend and holiday availability.

Job Duties:
* Portions food items according to menu and stores according to proper storage guidelines.
* Sets up household area with supplies for meal service and monitors supplies to ensure adequate availability.
* Verifies temperature of food items prior to food service and periodically checks temperature to ensure compliance of standards; promptly notifies supervisor on duty of all discrepancies; monitors food quality.
* Heats plates to be served and places properly in serving areas.
* Delivers and collects trays and plates from residents according to schedule.
* Cleans and sanitizes work area, supplies, and equipment in accordance with departmental sanitary guidelines.
* Washes all dishes used during the meal service.
* Accurately assembles trays and plates food according to menu specifications.
* Labels and dates unused food products clearly and according to department guidelines.
* Prepares snacks and other requests as directed.

Job Summary:
Position is primarily responsible for performing routine interior and exterior maintenance functions as it pertains to grounds, building maintenance and assisting residents with gardening as needed. This position comes under the leadership of the senior groundskeeper and maintenance supervisor.
The hours for this position are 8am-4pm Monday-Friday
Job Duties:
* Responsible for hanging Venetian blinds, curtain rods and drapes, towel racks, pictures, mirrors, shelves, wall lamps, etc., as assigned.
* Assist the senior groundskeeper with daily care of the grounds. This includes removal of all trash from the parking lot and other outside areas.
* Assist with leaf removal, power washing of sidewalks and building entrance, weeding and trimming of trees and hedges.
* Assist the residents with the care of their garden boxes and other areas requiring daily assistance.
* Make minor repairs (unstop toilets, repair garbage disposal, etc.) as needed. Major repairs should be referred to Maintenance Technicians.
* Assist in repair of personal items for residents as skill level allows.
* Perform maintenance checks to ensure that plumbing, lights, outlets, and appliances are all in working order, as well as doorknobs and blinds, closet and cabinet doors and drawers, etc. for pre-move-in turnover, and yearly thereafter.
* Assist in the clean-up of floods and other facility restoration needs.
* Assist in the removal of snow and ice.
* Must alert Human Resources or the Department Director of any change in driving record, including but not limited to accidents and tickets for traffic violations.\
Job Qualifications:
* Must have knowledge of the requirements for repairing furniture, fixing pictures, repairing blinds, and similar projects.
* Must have experience assisting with exterior grounds maintenance.
* Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, and visitors.
* Must be generally familiar with gasoline and electrical motors, electrical wiring, heating equipment, plumbing and refrigeration equipment.
* At least two years' experience working within a maintenance setting performing similar tasks.
* Education/certification in one of the maintenance trades and/or grounds is preferred.

About the Position
This position is primarily responsible for providing clinical social work services to residents of Assisted Living and The Terrace (memory support) and their families to promote general social and emotional well-being. About the Position
The Admission Nurse is responsible for the care of patients assigned by the Director of Hospice Admissions. The RN assigned will do the admission assessment for that patient, identifying patient needs and status. The RN, under the physician's nursing order, will devise a Plan of Care to address all patient needs to provide optimal functioning.
Job Duties
* Presents hospice services and philosophy of care to patients and families faced with the challenges of arranging end of life care.
* Performs in person assessments to determine eligibility for hospice, receives certification from the hospice physician and obtains consent for service.
* Completes admissions process, initiates plan of care and ensures immediate care needs are addressed.
* Communicates with the receiving interdisciplinary team about the goals of care, initial plan of care and patient/family expectations.
* Provides direct nursing care in a Hospice setting under the guidelines of a physician's order.
* Performs/completes admission/start of care (SOC), recertification, evaluations, discharges and accompanying documentation in a timely manner.
* Performs a detailed assessment resulting in the development of a patient specific Plan of Care. Client clinical record documentation is done per agency policy.
* Communicates with other team members regarding the Plan of Care and continues to work with team members for the duration of the patient's case.
* Effectively communicated with referring physician, either verbal or written, and provides accurate treatment notes and other necessary documentation.
* Documents information regarding interpretation of Hospice care policy, agency philosophy, objectives, and long-range plans.
* Prepares for patient discharge planning as soon as possible along with informing and preparing the patient, team members and physician.
* On-going observational recording/reporting of changes in patients condition as soon as possible to the patient's physician, and other team members,
* Makes recommendations for involving other services, as deemed necessary.
* Advises and consults with the patient's family in the patient's therapy program.
* Attend staff meetings at least 4 times/year.
* Documents all communication with other personnel to contribute to patient's case conference notes.
* Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently and request supplies needed for patient care.

Maintains vigilance to observe any unusual symptoms or signs of illness and reports same to nurse in charge; reports any indication of residents' deteriorating physical, emotional, or mental health by noting such cues as uneaten food, deteriorating cleanliness, or conversations that indicate deep unhappiness or loneliness
Attends and/or communicates necessary information to assist the supervisor with family meetings or the interdisciplinary team conferences on a regular basis

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of dementia and the ability to work with and assist in developing programs for residents in varying stages of illness; minimum of one (1) year work experience in social/recreational programs, preferably with residents in all levels of care is required; Activities Professional Certification required within 6 months of hire; Activities Director Certified or Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist and Bachelors degree in related field, preferred; BBET Coordinator training, provided by Cognitive Services Educator, required within 30 days of position start date.

About the Position
The Director of Nursing and Operations (Registered Nurse) provides executive leadership and operational oversight for Goodwin Home Health. About the Position
The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, under physician referral, with decline in ability to perform functional tasks, such as gait and transfers, impaired safety level, pain, and impaired quality of life due to illness, injury, and disease processes. Develops effective treatment plans and goals, obtaining approval for services from the referring physician. Involves the patient and caregivers in the development of the Plan of Care. Communicates and teaches families and other health team members to improve outcomes and follow-through with exercise and gait programs and functional tasks. All tasks are performed in a home health setting, with assessment of eligibility of homebound status performed each visit.
Job Duties
* Provide comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments, under referral from the attending physician, to overcome specific losses of function, impaired safety, and pain.
* Open cases, completing Oasis assessment, if on intake the patient is assessed as having no nursing needs.
* Evaluate the home environment and make appropriate recommendations.
* Consult with DON and nursing staff, after Oasis assessment and Physical Therapy evaluation, on needs for additional services, such as nursing, home health aide, occupational therapy, or speech therapy.
* Effectively communicate with the referring physician and nursing staff concerning changes in the patient's condition, and necessary changes to the initial Plan of Care due to such changes.
* Coordinate treatment with nursing staff, home health aides, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, as necessary.
* Document evaluations, treatment sessions and services provided in the home according to agency protocols and Medicare guidelines, completing all documentation in a timely and effective manner for both communication with other health professionals and billing purposes.
* Effectively involve the patient and caregivers in the development of the Plan of Care, and any changes indicated to the Plan of Care due to a change in condition.
* Provide education to patient and caregivers through effective teaching methods in home exercises, safety with functional activities, and carryover of other therapeutic techniques as appropriate.
* Provide supervision of Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (LPTAs) involved in the patient's care according to guidelines for supervision established by the Commonwealth of Virginia state practice act and Medicare guidelines.
* Participate in teaching of LPTAs through required joint visits and as needed in patient specific procedures and treatment techniques.
* Maintains privacy and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
* Implement infection control measures per agency protocols and policies.

* Attend at least 4 staff meetings per year.

• SERVSAFE Manager Certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Knowledge of therapeutic and restricted diets commonly used in Assisted Living settings (diabetic, cardiac, renal, dysphagia, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Demonstrated experience in quantity food production within healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or fine-dining settings.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, receiving, and storage procedures in compliance with regulatory and sanitation standards.
• Understanding of nutrition principles, clinical diet guidelines, and menu planning for older adults and individuals with medical conditions.
• Ability to guide production of meals that meet texture-modified and therapeutic diet requirements
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards, state licensing requirements, health department regulations, and infection control protocols
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Google Workspace); ability to learn food production systems and EHR/menu management platforms
• Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively with staff and other operational and clinical leaders to ensure resident and family satisfaction with culinary services
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to positively interact with residents and staff
• Strong coaching and supervisory skills to help staff continue their professional growth and improve performance
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during meal preparation and service
• Ability to use hands, arms and fingers for food handling, equipment operation, and utensil use; ability to talk and hear in a busy kitchen environment.
• Ability to occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to work in environments exposed to heat, cold, steam, and cleaning chemicals for extended periods.
