Apply Description The Driver, under the direction and guidance of the Transportation Supervisor, transports residents to various events and appointments both on and off campus. The Driver may also transport staff on site or, in the event of an emergency or unforeseen circumstance, off campus. The Driver operates automobiles, and small and large passenger buses. The Driver presents a positive image of Williamsburg Landing and maintains caring and effective relationships with residents and staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reports any mechanical or electrical failure to the Transportation Coordinator; using own judgment, determines if assigned vehicle is safe to drive Picks up residents or staff at the appointed time and place; escorts residents to the vehicle; helps residents with packages, walkers, wheelchairs or other impediments to easy entry into the vehicle Ensures resident, and wheelchair if in use, are safely secured with seat belt or locking mechanisms before beginning the trip Follows all road safety rules; reports any accident immediately to the Transportation Supervisor; follows Williamsburg Landing procedures for obtaining emergency roadside assistance Completes passenger logs and turns them in to the Transportation Supervisor Maintains vehicle cleanliness, comfort, and/or safety Makes meal deliveries to shut-in residents Evaluates work processes and methods and submits recommendations for continuous quality improvement Assists in covering extra trips and non-scheduled shifts as needed Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Must possess current driving license from the Commonwealth of Virginia and have a good driving record; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a class A, B, or C with passenger endorsement; a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical is required at the time of hire KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to speak, read, and write in English; ability to safely and regularly lift up to 50 pounds; ability to exercise sound judgment in the event of an emergency; general knowledge of the roads in the Williamsburg and Hampton Roads area is preferred #NOJT23

About the Position Position is primarily responsible for providing a variety of receptionist activities in serving residents, visitors, and others that include managing and monitoring security systems within the GHA community, as well as responding to security issues. Operates telephone console by recording and delivering messages, transferring incoming calls to residents and appropriate staff, and providing coverage to other departments as requested. Oversees and distributes facility, apartment/mailbox keys ensuring security guidelines and proper procedures are maintained. Collects payments and fills out appropriate forms for guestrooms, guest and contractor meals; sells and distributes meal tickets; sells stamps and cashes checks for residents as requested. Assists residents and visitors with requests for cab service, van service, and other requests in a polite and proficient manner. Monitors residents' presence/absence for the facility through the check-in and check-out procedures. Responsible for giving residents absence slips and submitting credit slips to Finance. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Minimum of two years experience in public relations, customer service, or related area required. As a member of the Dining Services team, the Hospitality Specialist - Bar & Events reports to the Catering Manager and is responsible for providing exceptional beverage, light food, and retail service in the Community Center. This role combines the skills of a bartender, mixologist, and retail clerk, and be able to do light culinary preparation. This position will also serve periodically as supervisor on duty across community dining outlets and provide event leadership as banquet captain during special functions. Job Duties * Provide comprehensive Physical Therapy evaluations and treatments, under referral from the attending physician, to overcome specific losses of function, impaired safety, and pain. * Open cases, completing Oasis assessment, if on intake the patient is assessed as having no nursing needs. * Evaluate the home environment and make appropriate recommendations. * Consult with DON and nursing staff, after Oasis assessment and Physical Therapy evaluation, on needs for additional services, such as nursing, home health aide, occupational therapy, or speech therapy. * Effectively communicate with the referring physician and nursing staff concerning changes in the patient's condition, and necessary changes to the initial Plan of Care due to such changes. * Coordinate treatment with nursing staff, home health aides, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, as necessary. * Document evaluations, treatment sessions and services provided in the home according to agency protocols and Medicare guidelines, completing all documentation in a timely and effective manner for both communication with other health professionals and billing purposes. * Effectively involve the patient and caregivers in the development of the Plan of Care, and any changes indicated to the Plan of Care due to a change in condition. * Provide education to patient and caregivers through effective teaching methods in home exercises, safety with functional activities, and carryover of other therapeutic techniques as appropriate. * Provide supervision of Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants (LPTAs) involved in the patient's care according to guidelines for supervision established by the Commonwealth of Virginia state practice act and Medicare guidelines. * Participate in teaching of LPTAs through required joint visits and as needed in patient specific procedures and treatment techniques. * Maintains privacy and confidentiality of patient information at all times. * Implement infection control measures per agency protocols and policies. * Use equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently. * Participate in case conferences and discharge planning per agency protocols. * Complete Oasis recertification and discharge assessments if indicated. * Attend at least 4 staff meetings per year. * Attend agency mandatory in-services and maintains 100% compliance with mandatory data based training. * Participate in implementing systems for evaluating the home health agency's delivery of services to maintain the highest quality of patient care and satisfaction with services possible. This Executive Sous Chef position, under the direction of the Executive Chef and in partnership with the Licensed Areas Dining Operations Manager, supports both the Back-of-House (BOH) culinary operations and the Front-of-House (FOH) dining service operations of all licensed areas. This position ensures that meals are planned, prepared, and served in accordance with resident dietary needs, clinical guidelines, and Williamsburg Landing policies. The Executive Sous Chef supervises and manages scheduling for BOH team, supports FOH service operations, provides coaching and training to cooks and utility team members, and maintains high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and resident satisfaction. The role oversees food production for daily dining, therapeutic and texture-modified diets, special events, and catered functions, and assumes leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef, the Assisted Living Dining Operations Manager, and/or Director of Culinary Services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS BACK-OF-HOUSE (BOH) RESPONSIBILITIES - CULINARY OPERATIONS • Prepares, portions, and garnishes food in accordance with standardized recipes, cooking methods, and nutritional guidelines appropriate for older adults and individuals with clinical dietary needs. • Establishes kitchen workflows, daily prep lists, and production assignments; provides coaching and corrective feedback to maintain safety, food quality, and efficiency. • Maintains a high standard of food quality, presentation, portion control, and plate consistency suitable for assisted living dining operations. • Ensures consistent use of standardized recipes, including modifications for therapeutic and texture-modified diets (e.g., puree, mechanical soft, cardiac, renal, diabetic). • Trains BOH staff in safe food handling procedures, culinary techniques, allergen protocols, and proper use of kitchen equipment. • Prepares and carves meats, soups, sauces, and specialty dishes for daily menu service, events, and catered functions. • Monitors BOH equipment performance, production flow, and food usage; recommends process improvements supporting safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. • Ensures compliance with state health department regulations, infection control standards, and facility sanitation policies. • Assumes BOH leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef. FRONT-OF-HOUSE (FOH) RESPONSIBILITIES - DINING ROOM SUPPORT In collaboration with the Dining Operations Manager, the Executive Sous Chef: • Supports the coordination and smooth execution of meal service to ensure timely delivery of meals that uphold dignity, resident choice, and a positive dining experience. • Ensures proper communication of menu changes, special diets, allergies, and resident preferences between BOH and FOH teams. • Assists in training FOH team members on plating standards, expo procedures, portion accuracy, allergens, and therapeutic diet guidelines. • Monitors service flow between kitchen and dining room to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and resident satisfaction. • Supports FOH operations during peak service periods, special events, and staffing shortages as needed. • Collaborates with the Dining Operations Manager on quality improvement initiatives related to service delivery and resident satisfaction. • Engages with residents, families, and guests in a professional, respectful, and service-oriented manner.
