As a seasonal support driver (SSD), you'll deliver packages to communities and businesses in the comfort of your own vehicle. This is a friendly, physically active role, so you'll need to enjoy fast-paced work, being outdoors, and safely being behind the wheel.
This position requires schedule flexibility since work will be assigned in the morning based on operational needs and your availability.

Westat is currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to work as Field Interviewers for the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS). MEPS is a study of health care costs and usage in the United States, sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), a part of the Department of Health and Human Services. MEPS is a panel survey, which features several rounds of interviewing the same respondents to collect information for two full calendar years.
Field Interviewers (FIs) conduct in-person and computer-assisted video interviews with adult members of households, drawn from a nationally representative sample, using a Westat-provided laptop computer. FIs are responsible for contacting the households in-person and/or by phone to gain cooperation, setting appointments, completing the interview, and collecting and following up with electronic and hard-copy signed documents.
**Traveling to the MEPS in-person training in January 2026 is a mandatory job requirement. In addition, FIs may be required to travel to local, and, at times, long-distance households, with some assignments requiring overnight travel.**
**This is a part-time position that runs yearly, with two data collection periods.** One period runs from January through mid-July, and the other from late July through early December. Start and stop dates vary with caseloads; however, all data collectors will have a break between rounds, during which time there is no work. Between the spring and fall rounds, the break is typically 1-2 weeks; between the fall and spring rounds, it is approximately a month.

Responsibilities:
Prepares necessary supplies, tools and other equipment for transport to worksite.
Prepares and performs construction on site to eliminate and prevent possible hazards.

Processes information such as categorizing, calculating, and verifying information or data.
Operates vehicles, mechanical devices, or equipment on and off sites, to include maneuvering, navigating equipment, forklifts, loaders, and trucks.
Performs for or works directly with other oil field employees and the public.
Operates small hand tools and provides other construction type labor in projects.
Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
Schedules deliveries, check time cards, and/or verify and approve material usage.
Prepares and maintains project and material records.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
One (1) to two (2) years of experience using construction tools and equipment including air hammer, concrete saw, patent scaffolding, trench digging equipment, etc.
Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry.
Ability to keep company proprietary information confidential.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization.
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills.
Ability to work various schedules including nights/weekends and local/regional travel.

UPMC's Student Nurse Internship (SNI) program allows you to put what you learned in nursing school into practice by working side-by-side with a preceptor. This is a temporary 10-week paid opportunity during the Summer of 2026.

Qualifications

* Availability to work throughout the summer with minimal absence required (schedule flexibility can be accommodated)
* Cumulative GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred

Licensure/Certifications
* Active American Heart Association (AHA) OR American Red Cross BLS certification throughout the entire summer is required
* SNIs must bring current AHA CPR certification to orientation
* All cards should specify that the course is for healthcare workers, professional rescuers, or is a BLS course. Community and First Aide cards cannot be accepted.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintain constant, active surveillance of the pool area. Scan the water at all times to the 10/10 standard, including the bottom, middle, and top of the pool.
2. Recognize and understand the “zero tolerance” policy as it applies to member safety in and around the pool area. Infractions of this job description which significantly compromise member safety will result in immediate termination.
3. Remain positioned properly in elevated chair or at the water's edge.
4. Maintain all rescue equipment on self at all times on duty; rescue tube, pocket mask and gloves.
5. Perform equipment checks and ensure appropriate equipment is available as needed.
6. Know and understand all emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Complete related reports as required.
7. Know, understand, and consistently apply safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area.
8. Check the pool for hazardous conditions when arriving.
9. Monitor chemical levels at the beginning and end of the day, as required, and take appropriate action.
10. Maintain accurate records as required by the YMCA and/or the state Health Department code.
11. Do not engage in behaviors that distract from primary duty of scanning the water. These include, use of cell phones, non-lifeguarding conversations, reading, etc.
12. Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required.
13. Maintain effective relationships with the members, participants and staff.
14. Check and replenish supplies in first aid kits. 15. Carry out additional assignments and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Minimum age of 16.
2. Certifications: a. Current YMCA lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding b. CPR for the Professional Rescuer & AED c. Basic First Aid certification
3. Ability to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
4. Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Ideal candidates should have the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, efficiently handle a shifting workload, and analyze complex situations.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 and represents the Firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at this time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and locations. This range is specific to our New York City office and may not be applicable to other locations.
