The Laundry Associate unloads all laundry tubs and stocks carts and linen closets and records linen amounts that are being distributed, as well as sorts, washes and dries textiles. Opportunities with WVC: * Excellent health, dental, and vision benefits * Tuition Reimbursement & Scholarships * Weekly Pay * Birthday PTO * Use of our amenities * TM Events and Recognition * Plus many more Wage: * $16.00/hour Responsibilities: * Sorts textiles by weights and washes soiled textiles in laundry equipment. * Dries textiles carefully to assure high standard of appearance. * Is responsible to keep laundry room and linen rooms clean and orderly. * Operates folding machines and ironer. * Cross train in all areas and aspects of the laundry linen process, from sorting, washing, drying, and distributing of textiles. * Periodically attends education and training session to maintain maximum capacity of commercial washers and dryers to operate efficiently. * Wear required protective equipment, i.e.; gloves and gowns while working with soiled textiles. * Take soiled linen from the laundry chute area and place in tubs for processing. * Remove empty tubs from the stocking areas as necessary and relocate them to the soiled linen room. * Switch out linen carts at various locations throughout the communities as assigned by Supervisor. * Sort all textiles according to type and place directly on carts or shelving for storage. * Maintain acceptable records of work processed as assigned by Supervisor. * Notifies Supervisor of any discrepancies in textiles or repairs to carts as needed. Expected to meet yearly occupancy goals. * Maintains routine communication networks with referral sources and provides marketing materials to those sources. * Maintains standard procedures to improve efficiency of both internal and private pay move-in processes. * Routinely checks on Private Pay Residents who have recently moved in and addresses any concerns. * Required meeting attendance of the following: Continuing Care Assessment Team and weekly Medicare meetings on both campuses, Administrators meeting, Team Leader meeting.
