Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces
Driving our hydrovac trucks (10-15% of total work time)
Attending safety meetings
Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of the hydrovac equipment
Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards
Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, State, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For:
Must have a valid Class A or B CDL
CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection and OSHA 10 certification
(preferred)
Experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions
(preferred)
Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours
Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions
Prior hydrovac equipment operations or related industrial experience preferred

The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NGLs. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas. Additionally, we are one of Alaska's largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2024. Alaska operations contributed 14 percent of our consolidated liquids production and two percent of our consolidated natural gas production.
Position Overview
ConocoPhillips Alaska is seeking Production Operators for our Alpine and Kuparuk fields.
Join a team dedicated to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in Alaska's North Slope. Positions are rotational (14 days on/14 days off) and based at self-contained camps in remote arctic environments. ConocoPhillips provides flights between Anchorage and the North Slope (Alpine, Kuparuk). Travel expenses incurred to or from Anchorage for the purpose of meeting these flights are not covered or reimbursed by the Company and are the responsibility of the employee.
Operators are responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production facilities and drill sites. This role ensures compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while maintaining operating integrity and delivering production targets. The position requires strong operating technical skills, adherence to procedures, and proactive engagement in troubleshooting, optimization, preparing equipment for maintenance and continuous improvement. Operators also play a key role in fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and knowledge sharing through mentoring and training.

Your responsibilities may include:
* Champion a strong safety culture by participating in safety programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills/events
* Ensure safe operation of production processes, pipelines, utilities, and safety systems within assigned Operating Areas
* Exercise Stop-Work Authority when conditions are unsafe, change or are outside approved safety protocols
* Conduct routine operator rounds and area surveillance to monitor equipment and identify issues proactively
* Respond to process upsets and abnormal conditions and perform facility start-up and shutdown activities for both planned and unplanned events
* Comply with all safety procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and environmental standards
* Maintain operating integrity through adherence to Safe Operating Limits, Management of Change, and Control of Work processes
* Complete all required Training and Competency requirements, including asset-specific knowledge for facilities and drill sites
* Prepare and execute energy isolations and preparation of equipment for maintenance
* Achieve production targets through proactive surveillance, troubleshooting, and optimization
* Develop and execute operational plans to ensure safe and efficient implementation of maintenance and production objectives
* Identify and recommend opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies
* Support onboarding and training of new operators and apprentices
Basic/Required:
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Current/Valid driver's license
* 3 or more years experience direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience
* Intermediate level knowledge of Production Operations and Process Safety Management
* Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14-days on/14-days off rotational shift schedule in a remote arctic environment, both inside and outside in harsh weather conditions
* Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely perform physical labor including climbing ladders/stairs, operating valves and equipment, walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and carrying material periodically throughout a 12-hour shift
Preferred:
* Associate degree or higher in process technology or relevant technical field
* 1 or more years' experience as a Field Production Operator for wells and remote gathering systems, AND/OR
* 1 or more years' experience as a Field Production Operator for a processing facility, AND/OR
* 1 or more years' experience as a Control Room Board Operator with Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
* 1 or more years' experience with SAP S4/HANA or other maintenance management systems
* Beginner level computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, email)
* Demonstrated support of employee-led safety processes and/or emergency response teams
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Primary Duties/responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marathon Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility is seeking highly motivated Operators to join our team. Operators work together to monitor, regulate, troubleshoot and safely operate complex process equipment. Operators work in a safety-sensitive environment and must successfully complete a rigorous pre-employment process which includes drug/alcohol and medical screenings, and a background check. To ensure safe operations, new hires must also successfully complete operator qualification training and participate in random drug and alcohol screenings. Successful candidates will be assigned to either the Renewable Fuels or Terminal Complex following successful completion of Basic Operator Training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operators are responsible for running process units safely, in compliance, reliably and efficiently during each shift. All operations are carefully controlled to meet and maintain operating targets established in a daily operating plan. Continuous regulatory compliance is maintained by properly monitoring and controlling critical operations. Other primary responsibilities include:
* Completes unit equipment inspection rounds several times each shift to ensure it is operating safely reliably, and efficiently. Completes specific equipment checks as required and take scheduled samples. Also investigates and corrects unusual conditions such as noise, odors, leaks, hot or vibrating equipment, etc.
* Identifies maintenance work and submits electronic work requests. Helps prioritize maintenance. Routinely performs minor maintenance as scheduled or needed and maintains good housekeeping.
* Plans, prepares, and facilitates the safe turnover of equipment for maintenance. Prepares work packages and work permits ahead of scheduled maintenance. Completes job walks with mechanical crews to ensure task alignment and safety. Additionally, reviews all completed maintenance jobs to ensure the work is complete and the job site clean, prior to signing off work orders.
* Adjusts unit operations as required to meet operating targets and stable/efficient operations. Directly coordinates operations with upstream and downstream units, while keeping shift supervision updated on all significant variances from operating plans or targets. Changes, upsets, problems (actual or potential) are also communicated to all potentially affected units and shift supervision.
* Routinely troubleshoots and handles upsets or off-target variances. Requests additional assistance from shift supervision when unable to handle the upset within the crew's capability.
* Routinely trains on the off shifts for compliance, qualification, emergency, and enhancement training. Helps develop and maintain operating procedures.
* Maintains thorough, concise and complete unit logs of all significant operation changes, priority status, and problems. This information is thoroughly reviewed with relieving operator at shift change to ensure the new shift fully understands the status of the units.
* Responds immediately to all unit emergencies. Ensures safety of all personnel in the area, isolates and mitigates high-risk areas and immediately activates unit emergency equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* High School graduate or GED equivalent, required.
* Valid driver's license is required.
* Previous experience as an operator or maintenance mechanic in a refinery, chemical process plant or power plant preferred but not required.
SKILLS:
* Must be medically cleared and physically able to work in all areas of the refinery and perform all job requirements outlined utilizing required safety gear.
* Required to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) for ongoing unescorted access into TWIC areas of the Facility.
* Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and high elevations.
* Must be able to perform work in a team environment, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
* Must be organized and possess ability to keep accurate legible documentation.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marathon Martinez Renewable Fuels Facility is seeking highly motivated Operators to join our team. Operators work together to monitor, regulate, troubleshoot and safely operate complex process equipment. Operators work in a safety-sensitive environment and must successfully complete a rigorous pre-employment process which includes drug/alcohol and medical screenings, and a background check. To ensure safe operations, new hires must also successfully complete operator qualification training and participate in random drug and alcohol screenings. Successful candidates will be assigned to either the Renewable Fuels or Terminal Complex following successful completion of Basic Operator Training.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operators are responsible for running process units safely, in compliance, reliably and efficiently during each shift. All operations are carefully controlled to meet and maintain operating targets established in a daily operating plan. Continuous regulatory compliance is maintained by properly monitoring and controlling critical operations. Other primary responsibilities include:
Completes unit equipment inspection rounds several times each shift to ensure it is operating safely reliably, and efficiently. Completes specific equipment checks as required and take scheduled samples. Also investigates and corrects unusual conditions such as noise, odors, leaks, hot or vibrating equipment, etc.
Identifies maintenance work and submits electronic work requests. Helps prioritize maintenance. Routinely performs minor maintenance as scheduled or needed and maintains good housekeeping.
Plans, prepares, and facilitates the safe turnover of equipment for maintenance. Prepares work packages and work permits ahead of scheduled maintenance. Completes job walks with mechanical crews to ensure task alignment and safety. Additionally, reviews all completed maintenance jobs to ensure the work is complete and the job site clean, prior to signing off work orders.
Adjusts unit operations as required to meet operating targets and stable/efficient operations. Directly coordinates operations with upstream and downstream units, while keeping shift supervision updated on all significant variances from operating plans or targets. Changes, upsets, problems (actual or potential) are also communicated to all potentially affected units and shift supervision.
Routinely troubleshoots and handles upsets or off-target variances. Requests additional assistance from shift supervision when unable to handle the upset within the crew's capability.
Routinely trains on the off shifts for compliance, qualification, emergency, and enhancement training. Helps develop and maintain operating procedures.
Maintains thorough, concise and complete unit logs of all significant operation changes, priority status, and problems. This information is thoroughly reviewed with relieving operator at shift change to ensure the new shift fully understands the status of the units.
Responds immediately to all unit emergencies. Ensures safety of all personnel in the area, isolates and mitigates high-risk areas and immediately activates unit emergency equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate or GED equivalent, required.
Valid driver's license is required.
Previous experience as an operator or maintenance mechanic in a refinery, chemical process plant or power plant preferred but not required.
SKILLS:
Must be medically cleared and physically able to work in all areas of the refinery and perform all job requirements outlined utilizing required safety gear.
Required to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) for ongoing unescorted access into TWIC areas of the Facility.
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and high elevations.
Must be able to perform work in a team environment, demonstrating honesty and integrity.
Must be organized and possess ability to keep accurate legible documentation.
Requires safe work practices to ensure safety is a fundamental part of every task. Follow all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping practices.
Requires ability to respond to refinery needs outside of normally scheduled work hours and take ownership of all work performed.
Incumbent will be required to work rotating shifts, days, evenings and/or nights. Will also be required to work overtime.

Must possess good oral, and written communication, and ability to make sound decisions.

Experience and Education:
Valid State Driver License with clean driving record; CDL preferred

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.

Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging
