Edward J. Wilson is the Co-Founder, Publisher, and CFO of Wilson Language Training (WLT). In 1985, Barbara and Ed Wilson founded the Wilson Learning Center.
1989 WRS Second Edition was released and Wilson launched an in-depth model of professional learning to accompany the program.
1996 WRS Third Edition was published, adding two levels of vocabulary: one for older students and one for younger students.
2003 Wilson Academy® is launched.
2011 Wilson adopts the principles of implementation science at the core of its planning with and support of districts, called COMPASS – Comprehensive Plans for Achieving Success and Sustainability.
2016 Wilson® Professional Credentials (Wilson® Dyslexia Practitioner, Wilson® Dyslexia Therapist, and Wilson® Credentialed Trainer) are introduced to recognize the importance of ongoing development in the field of reading instruction and high standards of practice within the Wilson community.
2021 The Fundations Ready to Rise™ program is published.
