1919

Veteran sports writer Steve Wulf is at the plate with the story of the infamous cheating scandal that enveloped the 1919 World Series.

1922

Hartford Courant Historical: researchIT CT database (ProQuest) containing full-text coverage of theHartford Courant Historical (1764-1922). [Available to all Connecticut residents with current public library cards.]

1938

The Wilton Historical Society (WHS) began collecting documents for a local history room in 1938.

1972

Before that, he was a writer for Time magazine and Sports Illustrated, and before that he was a sportswriter for the Fort Lauderdale News and the Evening Sun in Norwich, NY, where he started his career after graduating from Hamilton College in 1972.

1984

In 1984, the WHS and the Wilton Library Association (WLA) began a lasting collaboration by moving the collection into a climate controlled space in the Wilton Library.

1992

Wilton Families, one volume, compiled by Doris Soldner, 1992.

1995

Caleb Johnson’s MayflowerHistory.com (http://members.aol.com/calebj/mayflower.html) The Mayflower Web pages were started in September 1995 with a simple passenger list of the Mayflower, and it has been growing quickly ever since.
