WIN Worldwide company history timeline

1992

Only at the first special meeting in May 1992 in Helsinki, organized by the Finnish group “Energy Channel” was WiN established with a leading group.

At the group’s first meeting in November 1992 in Zurich- elected Irene Aegerter (Switzerland) as its chair-person.

1993

- adopted Charter and decided constitutional meeting in January 1993

- 1st Annual Conference in Paris in July 1993

2000

On 17th Januar 2000 45 independent forwarding companies from all continents gathered in Sevilla, Spain to inaugurate WIN Worldwide Independent Network Association.

2004

By the end of 2004 the WIN network consisted of 66 countries.

2008

On the occation of the 9th Annual General Meeting held in Rio, Brazil in January 2008 the Raindy Day Fund (RDF) was presented and accepted as a new option to grant financial stability and security to all WIN members.

2011

in Janary 2011 the 12th Annual General Meeting was organsied in Sydney, Australia.

2012

13th Annual General Meeting held in Cartagena, Colombia, January 2012.

2017

18th AGM. On 9 January 2017 a total of 38 WIN member companies represented by 74 attendees gathered in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, to conduct the 18th WIN AGM 2017.

2018

26th WiN Global Annual Conference held with IYNC (IYNCWIN 2018) in Bariloche, Argentina

2019

At the group’s first meeting in November 1992 in Zurich- elected Irene Aegerter (Switzerland) as its chair-person. Thus for the AGM 2019 in Dubai some important topics were put on the agenda with which the conversion of the agreed upon goals is planned to be achieved.
