Your Role:
* Carry out duties with a primary focus on safety and quality.
* Understand both the metric and imperial measurement systems.
* Consistently complete timecards with detailed descriptions of work performed, expense reports for reimbursement of airline baggage fees, company vehicle car washes and other job-related incidentals eligible for repayment.

Qualifications:
* If entry-level, provide proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School.
* Able to travel for in-state site work, training and other company functions up to 50%.
* Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
* Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.
* Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.
* Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.
* Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.
* Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.
* Ability to pass a criminal background check (project/client dependent and you will be notified if needed).

* Capable of lifting at least 40-100 lbs.
* Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting items overhead.

* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.
* Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.
* Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.
* Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.
* Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.
* Ability to pass a criminal background check (project/client dependent and you will be notified if needed).

* Capable of lifting at least 40-100 lbs.

Our Certified Wind Technicians carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, assembly, service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. They are required to climb vertically at least 300 feet. Must maintain certifications in all areas required by position. The position is 100% travel.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees in the wind turbine technician position should expect to:
Lead and perform various GE 1x / 2x LOTO
Minor troubleshooting and / or component replacement
Conduct maintenance of equipment (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, lubrication, etc.)
Climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet. Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds)
Follow specific verbal and written instructions to perform wind turbine generator (WTG) and associated equipment assembly, repair, replacement and maintenance.
Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records.
Effectively prioritize and escalate technical issues to supporting functions.
Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas as required.
Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the Sky Climber Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements (eg, Valid License, acceptable driving record).
Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisors.
Be exposed to high and low ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
Maintain required training certifications for position held. These include at a minimum: OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED - First Aid, Basic Safety, Basic Technical, and Rescue.
For safety compliance, wind technicians must weigh between 120 and 260 pounds, including clothing, boots and standard personal equipment.
EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
Current GE LOTO Certification
GWO (BST, BTT, ART) Certifications preferred
Twenty- four (24) months of wind industry technical experience preferred.
Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules and QSE standards.
Comply with corporate OSHA and Sky Climber Renewables policies at all times.
Appear well-groomed, present a positive company image, and treat others with courtesy and respect.
Work cooperatively or independently and inspires a team effort with all tasks. Communicate pro-actively.
Service reporting, work order documents, and records will be written neatly, legibly and completed correctly.
Ability to work in a high-volume, multi-priority environment and to follow written and verbal instructions.
Has knowledge of various hand and power tools.
Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
