Your Role:

Qualifications:
* If entry-level, provide proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School.
* Able to travel for in-state site work, training and other company functions up to 50%.
* Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
* Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.
* Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.
* Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.
* Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.
* Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.

Job purpose
The Level 3 Technician is a critical and active role to maintain optimal function and output at the wind site by managing a team of technicians working daily on turbine operations, required maintenance, safety, quality control and warranty repair(s). Duties and responsibilities
Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair, and maintenance on wind turbine generators and related equipment. Ability to return WTG to service.
Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic component maintenance and repair.
Perform component retrofits and upgrades.
Oversee and assist preventive maintenance, daily operations, & large component replacement.
Complete required and accurate documentation associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment; maintain records of documentation.
Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and/or retrofit low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components and equipment
Recognize occurrences of wind turbine error codes and report issues.
Assist with crane rigging and direction.
Perform wind turbine controller maintenance and repair.
Assist with high voltage system maintenance and repair along with ability to read and understand electrical schematics.

Our Certified Wind Technicians carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, assembly, service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Employees in the wind turbine technician position should expect to:
Lead and perform various GE 1x / 2x LOTO
Minor troubleshooting and / or component replacement

Effectively prioritize and escalate technical issues to supporting functions.

Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisors.
Be exposed to high and low ambient temperatures while working outdoors.

We are currently seeking Wind Turbine Technicians local to the city of Emporia, KS with required travel up to 50% to work in the state of Kansas, that can join our dynamic team. Qualified candidates will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of multiple brands of services, namely elevators, to include troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical components on wind farm sites.

Your Role:
* Carry out duties with a primary focus on safety and quality.
* Understand both the metric and imperial measurement systems.
* Consistently complete timecards with detailed descriptions of work performed, expense reports for reimbursement of airline baggage fees, company vehicle car washes and other job-related incidentals eligible for repayment.
* Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
* Apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to design and production of various goods and services.
* Problem-solve issues as they arise.
* Troubleshoot equipment, machines, wiring or computer programs issues.
* Understand direct current electricity, alternating current electricity, and electronics.
* Write reports, complete work orders, chart information and track progress on tasks.
* Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and fellow employees.
* Lead teams, train new employees, and complete reports when needed.
* Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
* Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
* Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Qualifications:
* If entry-level, provide proof of Wind Technician Certification from an accredited Wind Academy or equivalent Trade School.
* Able to travel for in-state site work, training and other company functions up to 50%.
* Possess excellent electrical and mechanical skills.
* Knowledge of turbine-related machinery and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
* Knowledge of circuit boards, electronic equipment, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for protection of people, property, and institutions.
* Willing to learn and progress into a stronger role, such as troubleshooting, commissioning or serving as lead technician on site.
* Any experience with turbine technology and/or being up-tower on platforms welcomed, including Solar/Off-shore experience.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, work instructions, manuals.
* Fluent English verbal and written communications skills are required.
* Must have current valid driver's license and fit-to-drive record with no more than two moving violations in the past three years, including passing a Motor Vehicle Record.
* Ability to pass a criminal background check (project/client dependent and you will be notified if needed).
Physical Requirements:
* Capable of lifting at least 40-100 lbs.
* Capable of bending, twisting, and lifting items overhead.
* Capable of climbing a wind tower up to 400 ft in height up to three times daily.

**Let's Talk about the Role**
The primary responsibility of the Steam/Gas Mechanic is to safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of the heavy rotating machinery used mainly in power generation applications. Turbine Mechanics work closely with Supervisors, EHS personnel, and the Operations Department to achieve these goals. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
**How You Will Make a Difference**
+ Dismantle, assemble, move and align, machinery and equipment using: hoists, cranes, chain falls, hand tools, power tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, micrometers, rules, squares, plumb bobs, dial indicators and/or laser alignment equipment
+ Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
+ Responsible for shipping and receiving all major pieces for T&DC, plus all shipping, receiving, inventory, and control of tools, equipment and supplies
+ Perform material and machine inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, rules, calipers, protractors, and torque wrenches
+ Perform machining and welding operations for making various parts for lab and shop training equipment
+ Determine equipment specifications and prepare parts lists for purchasing, consisting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic devices as needed to complete assigned projects
+ Load, transport, and unload materials, tools, equipment and supplies and perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs as needed
+ Read blueprints, schematic drawings and technical documentation to determine proper work procedures
+ Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments
+ Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
**Special Role Requirements:**
+ Minimum of one (1) years' experience maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial service equipment including various pumps, motors, fans, generators, and turbines
+ Valid Driver's License
+ Preferred: Degree/Associate Degree in Technical Field or Gas Turbine Systems
