    Job Title: Transformer Coil Winder Location: Massillon, Ohio Department: Manufacturing / Production Reports To: Department Manager Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Transformer Coil Winder to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for winding coils for transformers, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. You will work with various materials, including copper or aluminum wire, and operate specialized winding machines to produce coils used in transformer assemblies. The ideal candidate will have experience in coil winding or related fields, with a strong focus on attention to detail and safety. Key Responsibilities: Coil Winding: Set up, operate, and monitor winding machines to wind coils for transformers according to specifications and blueprints. Material Handling: Properly handle and spool copper, aluminum, or other wire types, ensuring uniform tension and winding accuracy. Quality Control: Inspect coils for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring they meet required tolerances, and make necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards. Machine Setup and Maintenance: Set up winding machines for different coil specifications. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure smooth operation. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the proper winding techniques and coil dimensions. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of coil winding processes, materials used, and product inspections. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including assemblers, engineers, and supervisors, to ensure timely and efficient production. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Qualifications: Technical Skills: Experience with coil winding machines and tools; knowledge of winding techniques and electrical transformer components. Capable of performing verification testing during winding process. Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain accuracy and precision while working with complex wiring specifications. Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues with winding machines and identify solutions to production challenges. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy spools of wire, work with fine motor skills, and stand for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Communication: Good communication skills for reporting issues and working with team members. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with different types of winding machines and advanced winding technologies. Knowledge of transformer construction and specifications. Work Environment: Full-time position Works in a manufacturing facility with potential exposure to noise, machinery, and electrical components.
