About the Position:
The function of a coach is to properly educate students through participation in interscholastic competition. Assist the varsity head coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.

Assist the head Coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition.
Adhere to injury procedures established by the Merrimack Athletic Department.
Take all necessary precautions to protect student athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities.
Model professional behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials,and spectators.
Have the total athletic and school program at interest. Be supportive of student participation in other school activities.
Be familiar with and adhere to the Coaches Handbook and school board policies, particularly those governing student nondiscrimination, anti-harassment, bullying, mandatory reporting, student record confidentiality, and other pertinent school board policies.
Perform other such duties that are consistent with the nature of the position and that may be requested by the varsity head coach.
