The Field Technician represents the future leadership of WindowWorks Operations Department. FTs who show a willingness to learn new things and effectively put them into practice have an excellent opportunity to pursue a greater role with WindowWorks. Job Description: Site Assessments: Visit residential or commercial locations to measure window, door, and sliding glass door openings. Order Verification: Ensure orders meet installation specifications and create comprehensive purchase orders detailing material and labor requirements. Customer Interaction: Review installation processes with customers, addressing any questions or concerns. Problem-Solving: Identify potential challenges that could impact customer expectations, job costs, or code compliance, and recommend solutions. Service Tasks: Maintain service parts inventory and equipment, complete service assessments, and fulfill service appointments as needed. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Experience: 2+ years of professional experience measuring and installing or repairing windows, roofing, siding, or related home improvement projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is preferred. Certifications: Must be able to pass EPA certification and adhere to EPA regulations. Other: Valid Drivers License and the ability to use an extension ladder safely. Preferred Qualifications: Technical Proficiency: Ability to navigate various applications on devices like iPads. Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset with superior time and project management skills. CRM Experience: Familiarity with systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
