As part of TSG, the Infrastructure Engineering team is focused on providing stable, scalable, and robust infrastructure for the firm while leading the strategy of our integrated engineering solutions.

The Role

As an Windows / UNIX Engineer, you will be architecting, certifying and building Microsoft Windows Servers. The primary focus is on developing and engineering solutions that will advance the teams vision of a secure, stable, robust, and dynamic end user infrastructure that will support our existing business requirements, as well as easily scale to meet future needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Defines the Windows Server images standards, deployment methods and use of supporting tools and technologies: Infrastructure - storage, networking, servers, load balancing, etc.; Anti-virus, Patching and Profile management.
* Maintain CIS version updates/evolution and core product certifications to maintain a patching cadence within SLA to reduce vulnerability and risk
* Design and Certifications of new platforms being introduced in 2022: RedHat Enterprise Linux 8.2,8.5, Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2019 Core
* Developing platform solutions for Crypto Digital Assets Custody/SELinux, evolution of CIS level 2 hardening for the Crypto Custody program.

Vanguard's Endpoint Engineering team is responsible for the technologies and capabilities that deliver the end user experience to our global crew through a mix of both devices and software. We are seeking an engineer passionate about delivering a great experience to users through modern endpoint management tools and practices. An ideal candidate will enjoy creating great documentation and have experience with the following technologies:

Windows Desktop OSSystem management tool: SCCM or Workspace ONE UEM (preferred) PowerShell or similar scripting/coding experience Application Packaging (InstallShield or AdminStudio)
In this Role you will:
Designs, implements, and deploys platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.Provides intermediate level technical support and monitors multiple technology domains/platforms using monitoring tools and applications. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products.Train and mentor staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it Takes:
Minimum of 5+ years related technical experience.
Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize your Windows desktop engineering skills? With modern endpoint management technologies, you will improve the management, reporting, and analytics of an endpoint fleet consisting of 30k laptops and desktops.

We are looking for a highly experienced Windows desktop operating system engineer that is familiar with SCCM/Intune co-management of endpoints. You will use Microsoft Modern Management paradigm of endpoint to manage and focus on client health and the end-user experience. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

* 3+ years of experience with using Microsoft SCCM and Intune for efficient operation and management of PC systems
* Experience with PowerShell scripting
* Experience with cross-team troubleshooting efforts
* Knowledge of desktop OS deployment and imaging, Application installs, OS patching, and feature updates
* Knowledge of built-in Microsoft desktop technologies, including BitLocker, Credential Guard, WSL, and Windows Hello for Business
* Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

* Experience with Azure Active Directory
* Experience with AutoPilot and Co-Management
* Knowledge of Conditional Access policies and rules
* Knowledge of JIRA and Microsoft Teams for project management and tracking
* MCP, SCCM, or MCSE Certification

The salary for this position will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $140,000 to $160,000.
