Ability to perform a fiber audit to identify the physical characteristics of existing fiber plant from fiber matings, terminations, colors to splices and network elements while documenting and updating records. Familiarity of equipment and service delivery over FttH, FttT, FttX, Fixed Wireless, PON, OLT applications. Perform testing utilizing OTDR's, Power Meter/Light Sources, OLTS and VFLs with the ability to interpret and analyze data; and ability to identify and troubleshoot problems. Ability to read, create and maintain accurate splicing schematics, records and diagrams. Must have good attention to detail regarding setting up splice locations, termination points and general fiber construction. Knowledge and practice of BICSI, EIA, TIA standards.
