Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Parts Specialist is responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of maintenance parts and complying with the rules and regulations of the maintenance department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Organize all maintenance parts. This will be done manually and also cataloged in a computer system
Order any additional parts as needed
Obtain quotes for parts using two different vendors to get best available pricing
Enter and receive purchase orders. If more than $500, obtain manager approval
Maintain vendor and contractor sign-in logs and confidentiality forms
Maintain scale calibration certificates
Maintain inspection files (i.e. boiler/fire)
Building and grounds maintenance projects
Schedule contractors and managing them once they are onsite
Send parts out for repair
Drive to vendor sites to pick up parts or drop them off
Receive and enter parts into the parts room.
Coordinate monthly cycle count of parts inventory
All other duties as assigned
