Winstead PC CEO and Leadership

David Dawson serves as Winstead’s Chairman and CEO. In his role, David works closely with Winstead’s board of directors and leadership teams to develop and implement strategies for delivering the highest quality service to clients.

Based in Austin, Texas, David’s practice focuses on the development and financing of public private projects involving governmental entities at the local, state, and federal level. He has represented developers, governmental entities, underwriters, and investors in airport, toll road, convention center hotel, military housing, and built-to-suit GSA lease transactions.

A graduate of the UT McCombs Business Honors Program, David began his professional career in investment banking with CS First Boston before attending UT Law School. He joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in 1994, practicing corporate and public finance law before moving to Winstead in 2003.

David is a former executive committee member of KIPP Austin Public Schools, Inc., which is part of a national network of high performing charter schools serving underprivileged youth.

Kathy Hall is a Chief Financial Officer at Winstead PC and is based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area. She has worked as Controller at Thompson & Knight, Controller at Winstead PC, and Director of Finance at BURNS DOANE SWECKER & MATHIS. Kathy attended University of Mississippi and Oxford High School.

Teresa Schneider serves as Winstead’s firm-wide Chief Recruiting Officer. In this role, Teresa partners with Winstead’s Board of Directors, Practice Group Leaders and Managing Shareholders to develop and implement strategic initiatives for attorney recruitment, retention and professional development.

Teresa joined Winstead in 1990 as a first-year Associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, where she managed a wide variety of legal matters for more than 25 years. During her time as a practicing attorney, Teresa served as the firm’s Director of Professional Development, leading all training and continuing education programs. She is the creator of Winstead University, the firm’s advanced education program for lawyers and clients-responsible for almost 50 presentations a year. She has also served in firm-wide leadership roles for Winstead’s Women’s Alliance, Diversity Committee, and as Pro Bono Coordinator.

Todd Arritola is a Chief Business Development Officer at Winstead PC and is based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area. He has worked as Director of Marketing & Business Development at NOLIJ CORPORATION; Business Development Senior Manager at Deloitte; and Director, Business Development, KPMG Deal Advisory at KPMG. Todd studied at de LA Salle High School between 1986 and 1990; University of Dallas, Graduate School of Management between 2002 and 2006; and University of Arizona Eller College of Management between 1990 and 1995.

Allen Fuqua is a Chief Marketing Officer at Winstead PC. He works or has worked as Director of Marketing at JENKENS & GILCHRIST.
