Winston Hospitality, Inc., was originally founded in 1991 by Robert W. Winston.
In 1994 Winston Hotels owned 10 hotels.
The Company managed most of the hotels within the Winston Hotels portfolio until late 1997, at which time Winston Hospitality was sold to CapStar Hotel Company, a publicly traded hotel management company.
Winston as CEO, Winston Hotels continued to grow over the years and prior to the time of the sale of Winston Hotels to Inland American Winston Hotels, Inc. on July 1, 2007, Winston Hotels owned 50 hotels in 19 states with a total of 7,124 rooms.
