The Wire Harness Assembler has primary responsibility of repairing, assembling and testing wire harnesses.

What does a Wire Harness Assembler do for RVI? They:

  • Follow procedures or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Perform visual inspections to endure parts and assemblies meet customer specifications and standards
  • Input data and tasks into computer
  • Print labels for boxes
  • Package units and attaches required labels
  • Assist team members in improving processes and procedures

HIRING IMMEDIATELY : WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLER LEVEL 1

EXPERIENCE :

  • Prior experience in Electrical / Electronics Assembly.
  • Mechanical background or experience is a plus.

POSITION : FULL TIME

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare wire i.e. coiling, cutting and stripping by hand or machine
  • Crimping – either by hand or machine (Preferred skill but not required)
  • Plugging and hooding cables
  • Tin dipping of wires
  • Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete
  • In process quality control checks
  • Apply Heat shrink or cable ties
  • Fill out required paperwork and documentation
  • Testing wires for electrical resistance
  • Packaging final goods
  • Small box builds

Skills:

  • Ability to Read instructions: example: work orders, diagrams and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly
  • Knowledge and understanding of measurements

  • The Salary for this position is $20.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).


Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Maritime, aviation, or telecom.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Past certification or knowledge of IPC-620 and IPC-610.
  • Have wiring aptitude.
  • Possess a meticulous attention for detail – taking a customer's point of view.
  • Knowledge in or willingness to commitment to learn Lean concepts and practices.
  • Possess ability to understand schematics, wire lists, wire diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Knowledge in electrical termination and repair.
  • Will have interface with Quality Inspection and Engineering.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
  • Occasionally be called upon to travel in support of field installations and upgrades.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
