Our Field Technician II will proficiently install, test or turn up a variety of telecommunications equipment including SONET, TDM, DWDM, IP or Ethernet based equipment with limited supervision from the team lead or manager. (s): 1 Duration: 10 Weeks This summer intern position is within the Opto-Electronic Integration Research Group at Bell Labs, where we are pursuing research into AI-assisted links for performance optimization. The intern project will study AI frameworks that can be applied to circuit design, with an aim to demonstrate feasibility with a hardware prototype. Must be enrolled in a PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Knowledge of analog circuit theory, and IC Design in CMOS or SiGe BiCMOS technologies Knowledge of AI/ML Concepts Hands-on experience and expertise in one of the above domains Programming proficiency in Matlab or Python As a part of our team, you will: Explore AI-assisted techniques for optimizing optical and electronic link performance.
