The qualified individual will assess enclosure systems, and design repairs for existing enclosure systems. Role Description
SOM is looking for a Timesheet Administrator. The Timesheet Administrator is responsible for ensuring that timesheets are completed accurately and on time across the firm. The role monitors time sheet status, follows up with staff and project leaders, and owns the Tableau timesheet dashboards that provide visibility and compliance by office, studio, and region.
Position Responsibilities
Monitor daily and weekly timesheet completion in the firm's time and billing system (ie; Deltek Vision/ Vantagepoint)
Organize and prepare data entry incoming timesheets into the system. Maintain up to date view of missing, late, or incomplete timesheets by office, region, and studio
Utilize Tableau dashboard and follow up with staff
Take Tableau dashboard ownership and action
Serve as the primary owner of the Timesheet Compliance Tableau Dashboard (s)
Review Dashboards regularly to identify trends, problem areas, and chronic non-compliance
Translate dashboard insights into specific follow-up actions (ie; who to contact, which offices need support, where escalation is required)
Provide recurring summary views (ie; weekly snapshots) for office meetings
Partner with the Analytics/BI team to refine dashboard structure, filter, and views as needs evolve.
Send clear, consistent reminders before deadlines to encourage on-time timesheet completion
After each deadline, chase outstanding timesheets via email and other communication channels
Adjust messaging for different audiences: friendly reminder for individuals, consolidated lists for managers, concise summaries for leadership
Use agreed escalation paths for to bring chronic non-compliance to the attention of office leaders, studio directors, and HR when necessary
Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for timesheet completion, reminders, escalation, and reporting
Document expectations, cut-offs, coding rules, and common FAQs in a clear, user friendly format
Support onboarding of new employees by providing timesheet training materials and answering basic questions
Update documentation whenever system, processes, or expectations change.
Produce weekly and monthly compliance reports showing on time completion rates, late and missing timesheets, and trends (by office, studio, and region)
Use insights from Tableau and other reports to recommend process improvements (ie; clearer deadlines, better reminders, system tweaks).
Qualifications
0-2 years of experience in administrative, coordination, finance, or operations roles
Experience in a project-based or professional services environment (ie; architecture, engineering, design, consulting, etc.) strongly preferred

Summary
SOM's Airport Practice designs and delivers airport terminal buildings and supporting facilities for domestic and international projects, as well as airport-related architecture, interiors, and master planning. The Aviation Lead role requires advanced design and technical expertise, ownership of key portions of aviation projects, and a strong ability to organize and lead teams with limited oversight while mentoring junior staff. The successful candidate will excel in all aspects of airport project delivery, including client engagement, design-team and consultant coordination, and collaboration with project leaders. Candidates may be focused on Project Management, Architecture, or Terminal Planning, but must be strong leaders and collaborators with a demonstrated ability to lead project delivery while actively strengthening client relationships and contributing to the growth of the Aviation Practice.
Architecture
Design and delivery of terminal building and support facility projects from master plan validation, early Concept Design through Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration. Leadership of projects teams, direction and coordination of consultants and direct interface / point of contact with clients, program managers and contractors / design builders are all key aspects of the role as a leader in the architecture discipline. Experience with the overall delivery of terminal buildings through multiple of the phases including mentorship of staff level team members, organization and leadership of large interdisciplinary teams. Must be familiar with the end to end design process including cost and schedule management.
Planning
Planning in the SOM airport practice is focused on the layout and plan development of airport terminals. Our key team members that lead the planning must be able to interpret quantitative airport and terminal planning information, generate alternative terminal layout typologies, arrange terminal processor and support facilities into coherent and efficient configurations, and work within a larger architecture and consultant team to develop the plans and spatial design from concept through Construction Documents. Must be familiar with physical characteristics of all commercial aircraft and be able to generate at a concept level airside layouts, including aircraft parking and gating, taxi lanes, airfield tie-ins. Must also understand terminal landside facilities (curbs, parking, and bus and rail access) and be able to generate comprehensive layouts at a concept level.

SOMs Airports Practice spans multiple offices, seeking work domestically and internationally. Your role would be as the Lead for the airports team for the Chicago Office, working in collaboration with Leads in other offices, under the leadership of the firmwide Airport Practice Leaders. Participation in business development and overall coordination across the airports practice will include pre-positioning for projects, development and coordination of consultant teams, leadership and development of responses to RFPs and other solicitations for projects. Based on the strategic growth model, you will participate in the development of the annual business planning strategy including market research, creating new business development opportunities, actively pursuing leads and working hand in hand with our marketing specialists, taking the lead in preparation of proposals.

At WJE, we spend almost as much time in the field, up close and personal with our projects, as we do in the office. This role will require regular nationwide travel to perform field investigations and bridge inspections, collect samples, test materials in order to assist in the diagnosis process, perform nondestructive and destructive testing, assist with specimen and full-scale testing in our laboratory, perform fabrication of test components and retrofit components, and install structural retrofits. Nondestructive testing (NDT) at WJE is typically performed using novel or innovative methods for access, testing application, or interpretation of results. Testing may include following unique procedures developed by ASNT Level III personnel, or following written or verbal communication from project engineers. This position works under the general supervision of a Senior Specialist or Project Manager but completes routine and moderately complex tasks, testing, and structure retrofit installations independently. As an NDT Level II Technician, you will perform various inspection techniques on a variety of bridge structures, both modern and historic.

Perform ultrasonic inspection of welds and welded connections in accordance with AWS D1.1/D1.5 or other applicable codes per project requirements

Maintain inspection equipment, including repairing or replacing damaged parts, ensuring equipment remains calibrated, and assist in procuring new equipment with project teams as applicable
Calibrate laboratory and field testing equipment
Perform an active role in the quality assurance program
Understand, follow, and enforce all safety standards

In this position the qualified individual will work with a team of engineers to provide engineering services on diagnostics related projects, including forensics, restoration, renovation and rehabilitation of commercial structures and complexes such as arenas, stadiums, convention centers, office and industrial facilities, condominiums, hospital complexes, and parking garages. Qualifications
An excellent technical background, enthusiasm for the field work required to diagnose issues with significant structures of all types, great client service and a proactive spirit are required. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in our in-house staff development program.
Currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Architecture.
Demonstrated interest in forensics engineering, building envelope rehabilitation, etc.

Job Description
The Manufacturing Test Technician supports the assembly, setup, and operation of dry gas seal test cells to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient testing activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining equipment readiness, supporting production flow, and upholding quality, safety, and continuous improvement standards within the manufacturing environment.
Update incoming seal's record.
Clean the seal components.
Maintain test cell sub-components data and storage location.
Perform all aspects of necessary duties (i.e., proper usage of hand and power tools etc.) required to assemble the dry gas seals safely into the test cell.
Maintain record of bearing usage.
Troubleshoot problems associated with seal assembly.
Installation of instrumentation on test cell and rig equipment.
Prepare, organize & maintain documentation as required for test cell assembly.
Maintain high productivity, as determined by the supervisor, in all aspects of the job.
Complete weekly 5S audits and actions .
Participate in Continuous Improvement activities within the area.
Train other technicians when required.
Participate in daily SPQCD meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor / manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Oil & Gas or rotating equipment industry.
Ideally apprenticeship trained with relevant qualifications.
Ability to read technical drawings is essential.
The ideal background would be someone skilled in fine measurements.
Assembly /Test experience in Gas Seals would be an advantage.
Good IT Skills - MS office .
Good understanding of Continuous Improvement and associated tools
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customer in both written and spoken English.
High level of drive and willingness to learn new skills.
Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
