Typical Intern Responsibilities:
* Assist project teams with on-site investigations, condition assessments, and construction observations, which may include documenting distress, field testing, gathering data, collecting test samples, and preparing site visit reports
* Organize field data and assist with research of modern and historic construction documents, building codes, and design guidelines to facilitate analysis, problem-solving, and repair design
* Perform analysis under the guidance of licensed professionals using a combination of analysis software and engineering calculations
* Assist project teams with the preparation of preliminary and final client deliverables, including structural and architectural construction drawings, specifications, and written reports

WJE offers a robust, total compensation structure, where the hourly rate is just one component of an employee's annual earnings. Summary/Objective
The Austin Company performs design-build work for industrial and specialized commercial markets. The Electrical Intern actively works with in-house engineers, architects, and construction departments to assist with ongoing functions. Summary/Objective
The Austin Company performs design-build work for industrial and specialized commercial markets. Qualifications
Current enrollment in an undergraduate Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering program, or related discipline;
Prior internship and/or related engineering and construction inspection experience preferred;
Ability to effectively communicate in person and via email;
Organizational skills required;
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software;
Ability to work both independently and within groups;
Experience using Excel spreadsheets to prepare calculations and analyze data;
Valid driver's license and transportation required;
AutoCAD or GIS experience preferred; and

Cornerstone Research offers candidates pursuing doctoral studies in finance, economics, accounting, or marketing the opportunity to join the firm for eight weeks to gain first-hand experience in our work as a Summer Associate. The role is designed to mirror the experience of a first-year Associate and includes case assignments and formal training.
