We have an immediate opening for a self-motivated team player with the experience and skills to lead marketing coordination and management for the fast-paced group of consulting engineers in our Houston Structures Group. In addition to the qualifications listed below, this individual will possess a strong “can-do” service attitude.
In this position, the qualified individual will require an intentional focus on:
Use of Adobe InDesign to develop and coordinate materials for proposals, qualifications packages, and brochures, including subconsultant materials
Occasional design of custom graphics for proposal, qualification packages, presentations, leave-behind collateral, and advertisements which complement standard template and brand standards
Research and technical writing to enhance our existing literature and develop new collateral
Coordination with business development leadership in strategic development of marketing collateral
Update and maintain marketing collateral and database.
In addition, the qualified individual will also be responsible for:
Project and client database management
Industry research, data gathering, and reporting
Support of business development team and positioning activities
Occasionally attend industry related organization functions and events
Occasionally assist with development and management of strategic local business development plan
Additional related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years experience as a proposal/marketing coordinator in a professional services firm (i.e. construction, architecture, engineering or commercial real estate organization).
BA/BS degree with concentration in Marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism or Communications highly preferred.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite. InDesign is required.
Must be detail-oriented, work well in a fast-paced environment, and possess strong writing, editing, communication, organization, and computer skills.
Experience with CRM databases preferred.
Ability to maintain a strong sense of focus and confidence under tight deadlines and varying workloads.
Ability to lead processes and work with colleagues who have diverse interpersonal styles.

Job Description
Function as the key technical expert for customers and sales channel. Focus on increasing both the quantity and quality of our SEMI sales to customers through technical expertise and assistance in current sales efforts, as well as innovation for new product development.
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of tasks in several areas of applications engineering:
Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to manage customized burn-in sockets for the semiconductor industry.

Develop detailed specifications and application notes for new products; contribute content to technical collateral materials.
Maintain customer files for use by global FAE's and other departments.
Review customer complaints and issues with products in the field to help triage next course of action with internal teams.
Educate sales staff or any other internal/external personnel about both new and existing products.
Compliance and participation in all Smiths Interconnect EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements.
Qualifications

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you'll be an integral part of our project teams, collaborating on the design and development of a variety of civil/land/site development projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to real-world challenges, including:
Site layout and grading
Stormwater management
Utility design
Sustainable infrastructure planning

Qualifications
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 40 college hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering of which at least 24 hours are engineering, physics or math related.
A strong technical foundation in civil engineering
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Enthusiasm for designing innovative and sustainable site development projects
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation (preferred but not required)
Written recommendation from a civil engineering professor

Qualifications

A shiny Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering (or an equally impressive equivalent). No time travelers from the future, please!
2-4 years of post-graduate experience. That's like 730-1460 days of leveling up your engineering skills!
English communication skills so excellent, you could explain quantum mechanics to a golden retriever. (We'll test this superpower in your interview!)
SolidWorks 3D modeling skills that would make Tony Stark jealous. Bonus points if you can recite GD&T and ANSI/ASME standards in your sleep!
A brain packed with knowledge of engineering mechanics, material properties, physics, and manufacturing methods. Think "Big Bang Theory" level of nerdiness, but cooler.
Electrical theory know-how that would impress Tesla himself, especially in signal transmission, characterization, and signal integrity.
The ability to see through walls... well, not really, but you should understand how mechanical designs affect electrical functions/performance.
