In this role, you will administer bi-weekly analytical reports in Cognos for the Department Head and Academic Advisors of admitted freshmen and transfer students, maintain the freshmen database of confidential personal and academic information and processes welcome and scholarship letters. In addition, you will maintain all undergraduate student records including setting up new student files, maintaining undergraduate student database of confidential personal and academic information and administering GPA reports to Undergraduate Committee. You will also serve as Schedule Deputy for the department.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Communicating with undergraduate students regarding curriculum and co-curricular opportunities
* Providing information regarding curricular and co-curricular programs and opportunities including Study Abroad, Honors, 21st Century Scholars, Leadership Development, etc.
* Entering course requisite overrides in Unitime; processing CODO requests in workflow system
* Assisting in planning and-implementation of Department commencement activities
* Administering and reporting data for senior student exit survey
* Coordinating, maintaining and reporting on required work experience verification for all agricultural education students
* Maintaining and updating department website with guidance from Agricultural Education faculty and technical support from department IT
* Acting as liaison between Agricultural Sciences Education and Communication Department and Space Management and Academic Scheduling (SMAS) by creating and submitting Timetabling to coordinate the offering of courses in Banner for each term and preparing course memos
* Providing guidance to all instructors on how to utilize MyPurdue and Brightspace with entering grades, maintaining FERPA/GLBA, Final Exams, "Roll Call" Initial Course Participation Recordkeeping, and reviewing course rosters
* Scheduling room assignments for department
* Processing grade reporting rosters in Cognos and keep grade data for all courses
* Working with faculty to determine course size and keeps record of section enrollments throughout the year
* Serving as the department's textbook coordinator responsible for managing, collecting current editions, and process textbook adoption information and enter into The Textbook Management System
* Coordinating and submitting instructor course evaluations for each ASEC course
* Maintaining updates of data for the department reviews/teaching grants
* Acting as liaison between ASEC and AGAD to process changes to ASEC Course offerings and utilize Curriculog (Addition, Deletion and Modification of a Course) for new and current courses
* Maintaining a course schedule on a 3-year basis to track enrollment and curricula changes
* Serving as primary support for AG Education Faculty and other ASEC Staff members
